Update!

We talked to a company who has a compact excavator who would dig for us and they quoted us thousands of dollars for the job - are you kidding me?!

So we found a 28 inch wide one for <$300 for 24 hour rental WITH delivery and pickup. AND I get to play with an excavator.

Why would anyone ever pay even half of what they quoted?!

In relation to the thread I think we'll have to hand dig around the utility lines first before going to town with the excavator.

Yeah that will be the biggest cost, getting rid of dirt. If I was around town much the next 2 months I'd offer to come dig it for you for a case of beer, but even then taking material out is costly

First of all. They are referred to as little people.

Second of all. Just because they work in the sex trade is no reason to be derogatory and call her a hoe.

Third of all. I don't think Kijiji is the place to find that sort of thing.

Fourth of all. It is not right to support pimping. Find a nice, self employed little person lady of the night.

Finally of all. $70 per hour is a bargain...trust me, I know.

Could be different since it specifies self haul vs a company doing it for you. But I really have no idea, 90% of the holes I've dug get filled in again after, and 0% of those are from within city limits anyway. I dig pipelines, my knowledge of this stuff is the utility work itself, anything else is foreign to me.
