The five team dog pile for the last two playoff spots in the eastern
conference continues. The Capitals play for a second straight night
with the Flyers and Red Wings being in action too. The Sabres will be
desperate as they are six points back of seventh and eighth place.
The Hurricanes are five points back of first place in the conference and overall.
The western conference has the Avalanche playing for a second
consecutive night, They are now three points back of first place in
the conference and four points overall. The Oilers are only three points
up on the Knights in the Pacific Division. The Oilers clinch a playoff
spot if they make to overtime.
