I think Tre is pulling out all the stops to get him signed...zero hesitation

Wish I could give double likes for this reference, as it's become so commonplace that I do it whenever someone says "to be fair" out of habit at this point

- Higher altitude
You adjust to that over time
- Way more travel
You adjust to that over time
- Strict coach who doesn't tolerate mistakes
Having a good coach is a good thing for Weegar, not a bad thing.
- System-oriented, "defence leads to offence" vs "run and gun" (his words)
Defenseman playing in a defense oriented system is a good thing for Weegar.
I'm excited to see this guy in action, just like everyone else is, but I can understand if there's any hesitation on Tree's side.

Get the man signed, Tre!

I get what you are saying, but I completely reject this dichotomy. Having Weegar NOW and for the duration THIS SEASON is the best value asset. Anything beyond that is just gravy.

Of course he is. Treliving did not acquire Weegar with a high value contract in place for this year just to move him. This team is going for it, and Weegar is crucial to that proposition. He is going nowhere this year.
Small minded short-sightedness... Ugh.

I don't think there is any shadow of doubt that Weegar is a quality top-four defenseman on every team in the League. On many—if not most, he projects to be a top-pairing defenseman. In today's market a top-four defenseman is definitely worth at least $6.0 m with term.

It’s pronounced charmin’! Lol
I don’t know why but I was reminded by the chowdah scene in Simpsons when I read this exchange! Brought a smile to my day too!

The difference between trolls and funny people is trolls laughs at their own jokes, and funny people get others laughing.
