Michael Frolik, because he'll be deployed with Backlund on a shutdown line, and with no offensive production expectations, Frolik will garner new appreciation from the fan base for being defensively sound.
I would love that as I think Bennett is losing his offensive swagger that he had his first couple years in the league:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Bennett-Mangiapane
Frolik-Backlund-Czarnik
Lucic-Ryan-Dube

I am not to sure who will be better, I would have to think Frolik. I am hoping we might see some new lines.
Gaudreau Monahan Czarnik
Tkachuck Lindholm Mangiapane
Lucic Ryan Dube
Bennett Backlund Frolik

Rieder might be able to switch up Czarnik a bit on the top line.

I think you have read that wrong

If Peters was a jerk, and he is gone, that’s the boost. By all accounts players trust and like Ward. Why would they be upset with the guy they like ?

Ward isn’t going to decline to coach just in case someone else is brought in

If Tre is smart, barring any disaster, Ward is the new HC for at least the rest of the year

Frolik, Bennett and Johnny I think benefit

I think all players will benefit from this coaching change. They've been struggling mightily this season and will benefit from a different approach to the game.

From what I saw in the last game, while not the old Johnny, he seemed to have a bit more "oomf" in his game.

Just from the eye test the past few weeks, for whatever reason they just haven't looked like their usual selves. Jankowski on the other hand has honestly just looked like crap this entire year, don't know how much of it has to do with Peters.

Back on topic though - not sure if it'll do anything at the point in his career, but if they just went out and gave Bennett 10games to play the way he wants to play, maybe he can turn things around a bit.
The whole team did well in Peters first year as head coach. But after the all star break, they were not the same.
Last game, without Peters, the team seemed to play at a different level. And they seemed to be looser.

How great would it be if Ward had a pallet of purple Gatorade delivered to the dressing room

I think we see the same lines as normal, just while things settle down and allows the players to get a sense of normality. Once Ward has a few games under his belt and the players are used to his voice I think we start to see a few changes.

^ Yeah. I remember when Brent Sutter said in a presser that they weren’t the kind of team that scored off the rush. Terrible coach and I hated watching his team. And the beginning of this season, it felt not much different than that. The looks on the players’ faces spoke fir them.

Apparently, the correct answer to this question was: Milan Lucic. Helluva game tonight from him.

The broadcast team made mention of how much Lucic credits Ward for his good play in Boston. It's not impossible that there is a bit of a renaissance with Lucic under Ward. One can dream.

I instantly came over here to see if someone observed this. I saw a Lucic with like 3 or 4 great chances. Ward is using him to the best of his abilities.
