Not enough. One of the dirtier plays you can make. So dangerous.

Wow anyone have the slewfoot suspension history of the NHL? This is as blatant and dangerous as they come. If this isn't suspension worthy then no slewfoot should ever garner a suspension.

I didn't think it was suspension worthy.

However, someone pointed out this was his second slewfoot this season. I'd imagine if he does it again he'll get the fine + some games off.

It's a dangerous play none the less

These $5000 fines are a complete joke, that is like $20 to the average person. I think these fines should be based on a percentage of their salary, 1% would be enough to get their attention maybe. Or at least make it more of a deterrent to doing dumb plays over and like Subban.

I always find it hard to put my hate aside for Subban the dirty player while knowing the good he does outside the game. This doesn't help.

BS - second time this season he slew footed. Should have gotten a game or two.

He’s playing with fire… his two targets were arguably the 2 top heavyweights in the league

More than the fine, it is about bringing attention to how he is being watched for future incidents.

I think they should just make slewfoots automatic game suspensions + more for repeat offenders. Just make them add up. Slewfoot someone once, that's a game. Do it again, that's two. On and on.

But make it the Fibonacci sequence, and it never resets between seasons. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ...

Lucic very nearly falls badly on his ankle there.

It could have been a serious injury. So dirty.

So close, I broke my leg exactly like that. Except a dirtbag player didn’t do it to me on purpose.

Worst part is is that if Lucic gets up and punches him in the face he’s probably staring down a suspension. I’m almost at the F this league point already.
