Imagine how cool it would be if he and monny took the ice together for a big game one day. Fun pick.

Quote:
The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Calgary Flames prospect Rory Kerins of the Soo Greyhounds is the OHL Player of the Week with a league-leading 10 points including five goals and five assists over three games including a plus/minus rating of plus-3.

Kerins got the week started with a four-point performance on Wednesday night as the Greyhounds defeated the visiting Sudbury Wolves 4-3 in overtime. Kerins scored twice, tying the game with a third period power play marker before collecting an assist on Tye Kartye’s game winner. His dominance carried over into Friday’s home date against the North Bay Battalion as Kerins posted a career-high six points including his first OHL hat-trick as the Hounds outgunned the Troops 8-5. Kerins’ six points were the most by a Greyhounds player in a single game since Nick Cousins recorded six on Feb. 16, 2013 against the Kingston Frontenacs. Kerins was held off the scoresheet on Saturday as the Hounds fell to the Battalion 4-2 on home ice. The 5-foot-11, 186Ib. centreman was an impressive 68 percent in the faceoff circle last week, winning 51 of his 75 draws.

Born April 2022 means he was eligible for the 2020 draft, correct? Overrager? Also like Mangiapane?

Nice to see the Flames snapping up these skilled, hard working late round Mangiapane type clones. Francis, Kerins, Beck is also off to a solid start.

If he ends up anywhere near Trocheck then someone in the scouting department needs a bonus.

He was selected in the 2020 draft during his first year of eligibility. Only played 4 games last year as a result of the COVID cancelled OHL season.

The last couple drafts are gonna be so random. Sounds like we got a 2nd round type talent in the 6th

Kerins is on the radar for Canada's WJC team despite only playing 4 AHL games last season. He was invited to the summer camp and although he didn't play high in the lineup during the scrimmages, if he keeps this up he will most likely get an invite to selection camp.

Awesome! I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that late round picks turning into top 6 players is freaking awesome.

It is dangerously something that I am coming to expect now going into the Draft.

I think Beck is even a better prospect

A true sleeper, 11 goals in 11 games. Awesome.
