This weekend (between Saturday, November 9 and Monday, November 11) Future Shop and Best Buy locations across Canada will be giving out free copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Battlefield 4 to anyone who trades in a current generation console game.
There is still some debate as to exactly how the details of this offer will work but it appears that you can trade in any current gen game and get a copy of either COD: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed IV, or Battlefield 4. Seems to good to be true if they are going to take any game for these but maybe worth a visit to BB or FS tomorrow with a crappy game to give it a shot
Are they going to be full copies of the games, or will they be digital downloads?
Got to think they'll be digital downloads, otherwise this is a great way to launder your crusty old games to get games for max value trade in. I don't want any of these games on console, but I'd still do it and turn around and use them for trade in.

Huge thread on RFD about this. Apparently the Director of Comms for FS confirmed this deal. No catches. Bring in any old 360/PS3/Wii U game, and get 1 of the games noted above. Think the gf and I will walk to FS in the morning and see what its all about.

FS is basically across the street from me out here. Nothing to lose to walk over first thing tomorrow and see what they say. Tons of Future Shop branded images and tweets to use if they deny it.
I certainly wasn't planning on buying any of those games, but for pretty much free, it is hard to resist. I am tempted to try it, but only if the Futureshop employees actually know of the promotion. I don't want to cause a big hassle for what sounds like a too good to be true promotion.
I'm definitely not getting up early for it, but I'll give it a shot around 1pm. I imagine to be doing a promo like this, the stores must just have an outrageous amount of inventory that they don't think will sell.
Seriously, if anyone gets an extra copy of any of these games and will sell for a fair price please message me. I won't be able to make it to do it tomorrow.
From the photos and comments from out east on Twitter, it looks like it's going to be crazy lines all morning. The "processing time" for making the trade is supposed to be ridiculous as well.

Going to head to Northland Mall and see what's going on. I want Assassin's Creed 4 and/or Call of Duty/Battlefield 4 and I might have the best chance getting two there (Best Buy and Futureshop).
