I believe the Astros are a truly great team. We will see what they are made of now.
Looks like you will be seeing it all tonight!

The worst part was the traffic and parking of course. Fans were pretty family oriented. I was surprised, I thought it would be mostly corporate and fewer local fans.. but I guess I was thinking it would be more of a ‘superbowl’ ’ crowd for some reason, which was dumb of me. It was a cool experience but my guy hasn’t slept a wink and I am pretty sure he burned what he wore last night out in the trash pile, but I don’t want to ask..lol

That Altuve is such a class act, just incredible. He’s a regular joe and so kind to everyone, including the kids. All of the Astros seem very gracious as during the year they do so much locally for sick kids- some of the stories had me bawling!

Best part tho- Altuve just running up to fans signing autographs like he always does, and smiling and fussing over the kids. He is my favourite player in MLB history. He’s so tiny!! Lol

Have a great time no matter the score!

Ps. I was shocked they got the local Beaumont country dude for the anthem but everyone seemed to love him! I wanted someone big, like Beyoncé LOL- she’s from Houston!

Hasn’t happened yet but does anyone else get annoyed at the guy calling the game and his home run calls?

“Home run! *2 second pause* Santamaria!”

What the heck does that mean anyway?

Scherzer simply doesn’t have it today. It’s only 1-0 but it’s clearly time to pull him.

Greinke a one man show at the moment...faced minimum batters and how many put outs?

Greinke cruising, Scherzer struggling but still only 1-0 and you get the feeling the Nats could pull a late game shocking win off.

If they do, hopefully they do it against the wife beater.

Some pretty bad strike calls being made.

Bad strike calls but even worse coaching by Washington. Every inning has been rough by Scherzer where he was leaving guys in scoring position. Now they score another to just make it 2-0, but when all the warning signs are there, why keep playing the guy? He doesn't have it today.

100+ pitches so he's almost certainly done now. But yeah he had some rough moments. Still only 2-0 I hope the Nats can get one or two to make it an exciting ending.

If Greinke keeps it up and the Astros win does he get MVP?

Traditionally it goes to a batter, no? Remember the days where the Jays were chasing the FA Greinke?

Greinke has only thrown 67 pitches through 6.

Unreal performance so far.

Greinke gets the hook. Looked like he was cruising towards a complete game with ease. At least we have a game now.

Was coming to post that I thought that was an early hook for Greinke who had looked great and only got hit hard once all night...then all of a sudden it’s 3-2 Nats
