Baseball gods decide that it was bogus. Rendon with the bomb.

Terrible call. At least the Nats added two more after that.

That sequence was like the Bautista bat flip. Bogus call that was within the rule book. But everyone knew it was wrong so Rendon bomb.

Was just thinking of that comparison myself.

This is the game the series needed, finally some emotion, controversy, and big plays.

Davey Martinez ejected. Over a call that shouldn't have been made in the first place. Had to be restrained from beating the umps.

Man Rendon is a good ball player.

Looking a whole lot like game 7. Astros bats ice cold again after the first.

At this point I wouldn’t take Strasburg out until there’s trouble.

Don’t manage for the save here - Strasburg is cruising.

I think Morneau is right about the softball base. For a right handed hitter Turner takes the most firect route to the base. What is a runner supposed to do?

So is Rendon a Scott Boras client? He is going to get paid.

I’m in utter disbelief the Astros have lost 3 straight at home. With Cole, Verlander and Verlander pitching.

Game 7 gotta love it. If not for a "freak" season by Jake Arrieta it would be two players who have won the Cy Young in both leagues starting. Hope it's a classic.

Yep, and so is Cole. And so is Strasburg with a player option. And so is Soto... but that's a ways off!

He's got to be loving what he sees!

All 3 were against starters who might be better though.

What a game and series. I don't feel so bad breaking the bank to take my son to game 5 and lose. No one has go to see their team win yet! Time to keep it that way.

Yeah I went and googled it. Boras will be the World Series MVP.

Maybe. Look at Verlander and Cole’s numbers in the league with the DH though. They pitched poorly in all Houston games and the pitchers you referenced really silenced Houston’s bats.

How we get to hear about the incredible toughness and resiliency of Scherzer for next 24 hours.

I believe the Astros are a truly great team. We will see what they are made of now.
