There was a patch on the 26th that boosted performance a bit, but not doubled. Gaming Jesus has the benchmarks already for the patch.

Now this looks pretty awesome

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2...tropolis_1998/

The original SimCity and SimCity 2000 were the golden age of city builders IMO, so if this recaptures those at all I'm totally in

I have only ever played Sim City games and I used to spend countless hours playing them. I wish I had more gaming time.

The original Sim City and SimCity 2000 are the games I played the most but I did have 3000 and 4. I didn't spend as much time with Sim City 4 though.

I did play a lot of Sim City Build It on my tablet but it killed my battery life and when my tablet died I just didn't want to spend the time again... and I still preferred the first to version of the game anyway.

I have been super tempted to Try Cities: Skylines though. Judging from the early reviews I may just stick with the first one.

This looks even better, you can slice up and look at the interiors of buildings? Count me in!

Does it include SimFarm?

I booted up Cities Skylines 2 yesterday but gave up after an hour of frustration. My co-worker tried to get a refund after playing 36 hours.

I went back to SC2000 and I still have my city that I built when I was 11. Oh god, I labelled everything with 11 year old in-jokes that are embarassing. Like the Public Libraries were all named "Books being Cooked" and Hospitals are like "Organs R Us"

The books being cooked library would work well down south though

Definitely wasn't that, the patch was only on steam until today, just came to gamepass now

Wow! My co-worker just showed me he was so pissed off at Cities 2 and Steam for rejecting his refund that he executed a chargeback and when Steam put a ban on his account for it, he told them to delete his account with $5000 worth of games.

Why did they refuse his refund?

Yeah, about that refund. When you say 36 hours, was that how much play time they had? If that's the case then Steam had every right to deny it. A simple reading of their policy would confirm that. Not sure what they were expecting if that is in fact the case.

Yeah I missed that in the previous post. 36 hours is way past a reasonable amount to expect a refund.

I haven't had any issues since I made the adjustments I posted earlier. Sure I keep restarting my city but that's me not the CS2.

I only have 15 hours played, but I have had zero issues so far. Does the performance goes down when the cities get huge? My city is only around 20k people at the moment.
