don't know if it's a total coincidence, but i was on a supplier's webpage this morning and noticed that the current home/away flames jerseys are being discontinued later this year...

they are also discontinuing the flames retro, but they've been doing that with lots of their 'reebok cut' jerseys and coming out with the same jersey in an 'adidas cut' (basically they change to the adidas neck line).
i do find it interesting that they are still keeping the '04 style - must sell lots of them i guess?!?


i'm pretty pumped to see the flames go full retros - such an awesome set of jerseys. i don't mind black on a jersey, but there is just something about the red/white/gold colour scheme that is sooooo sexy!

Isnt this the final year of the current contract with Adidas (I think it's them)? Could be the reason they are labelled as discontinued.

Those classic colors are a major reason I'm a Flames fan.

I didn't care about any of the teams as a kid, but the Flames had the best colors and the best logo.

After the special season they are currently having, there was no other choice but to have the retros!

Oh man,,,looking forward to the team coming onto the ice for game 1, retro jerseys, and fans going nuts!!

Am sure I'm in the minority but I quite like the regular home jerseys (without the dumb flags) and the retros for special occasions only.
