Hitch is counting the days until he can tell the Oilers to go do unspeakable and darkly sexual things to themselves and return to retirement.

What Hitchcock did this season must count as one of the crappiest come-out-of-retirement stories ever in pro sports. Or any sports. Or any field. Ever.

When you start the road trip with 12 games left to go, and you probBly have to go 10-2 the rest of the way, 2 out of 3 on the road trip isn’t good enough.
Win 2 out of 3 and you still have a chance at Jack Hughes.

The only thing this coming out of retirement has done is add to his career losses. He finished at 496 loses, so with the 33 loses this year he has joined the 500 loss club (4 more loses will give him sole position of 7th all-time. Sure a lot are part of that club because of longevity, but what the extra L's are doing is dropping his career points%. He is on the verge of getting booted from the .600 club.

Lots of party fun on St. Patrick's Day. Recovered and back to reality and CalPuck! This thread was all about the Oilers-Knights game. Here's the rest of the games.

0 at 3
The Avs stay in the playoff hunt with the win, Grubauer with the 22 save SHUTOUT. Honourable mention goes to Schneider, he made 31 saves in the loss and kept the game close. Barrie scored 2 goals.

3at 4 in the shootout

The Blues needed to win, but, they'll be satisfied with the single point as they were down 3-1 in the 2nd period and came back to tie it.

3 at 2 in the shootout

There was some controversy in the game when Pettersson had a penalty shot and it was obvious that Khudobin threw his goal stick at the puck. That should've been an automatic goal. The Stars get the valuable single point. Teams near the Stars in the standings must be livid with that non call, pathetic refs. Markstrom, once again, was a stud in net.

2 at 1 in overtime

What a terrific game! There were 80 shots in total as both goalies were excellent. The PK was perfect for both teams and last second heroics for the Flyers. It was 0-0 heading into the 3rd period, the Pens scored early and then the Flyers tied it with 19 seconds left in reg time. Coutourier scored the GWG with 4 seconds left in OT.

Islanders 3 at Wild 2 in overtime
The Isles can thank Greiss for getting the win. He was a one man show because the Wild out shot the Isles 30-11 in the final 2 periods and OT. Nelson with the GWG.

Who cares about the Panthers and Ducks game.
