The 50% off after 7 was awesome. I would go pretty frequently and grab a dozen for under $6. I was extremely disappointed when I found out that they didn't do 50% any more a few weeks ago. Paying $11 for a dozen kinda sucked but the donuts were still satisfying.

The cheesecake ones were pretty fantastic.

This thread is nothing without pictures....

From the North Hill Safeway. It was a Friday at 4:30 and badly picked over (and one apparently squished), but still tasty. Boston creme and a walnut and cinnamon glaze donut were good. Donuts were noticibly larger than Tim's and only $0.89. I'd take them over Tim's anyday.

I'm not sure if its an exclusive, but I haven't seen it at any other locations, though its not like I have gone on an exhaustive search.

So is there a point during the evening that they do apply a half-off value to the donuts?

I was told that they don't discount them at all any more. I don't know if the employees take them home or if they toss them in the dumpster at the end of the night.

Does Calgary have any hipster artisan doughnuts? These are a few of my favourites. They cost like $6 each but are good for an occasional treat.

I don't think any shops have sprung up yet, but it's only a matter of time.

Those look more yuppie than hipster. Looks like someone took over one of those cupcake stores that were all the rage and threw the leftover stock on some doughnuts.

I had two donuts from the Mission Safeway today, a simple glazed ring and a Boston Cream. I feel sick, but they were oh so delicious at the time.

I we were at the farmers market yesterday and picked up a couple of jelly modern donuts for desert.

They were somewhat disappointing. Would have rather of had the glazed crossaint from Safeway

Why doesn't DQ make ice cream donuts? WHY??

EDIT: I bet in the parallel universe where Trump isn't president they have ice cream donuts at DQ...
