Default Calgary & Area Upcoming Concerts 2022

Might be time for a new thread as we're in a New Year here 2022.

Rod Stewart & Cheap Trick just added a Calgary date, September 16, 2022.

Also Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Joan Jett stadium dates added for Edmonton, September 4 and Vancouver September 2, 2022.

Foo Fighters scheduled for September 29, 2022 for Calgary.

Good to see some more tours again.

Lots of other artists on this list.

Lol, Motley Crue had their farewell tour a few years ago, then when it sold out they tried to do the entire tour again to in the same cities the next year, calling it part of the same farewell tour. Calgary sold out the first time, then had like 6000 the second time with the band giving away free tickets to try to get more butts in seats, lol.

I'm taking my kids to Imagine Dragons in April. It will be their first concert so I hope it goes ahead.

There are very few acts I want to see live, but Imagine Dragons is one that both me and my wife would love to go to...so of course, the one day they are in town, we're working the Night Shift.

"When I imagine dragons, I imagine better music."

Great line, trying to remember which comic it belongs to.

Pearl Jam, like Foo Fighters tend to announce their tours in "legs" without actually calling them legs. Really hoping Calgary or at least western Canada makes it onto this Pearl Jam tour at some point.

Speaking of the foo fighters, they’re releasing a thrash metal album next week under the name of Dream Widow. First single was just released.

Anyone else grab tickets for Modest Mouse in September?

I'll be there with Misterpants. He's going to sit on my shoulders, so watch for us and come say hi.

I liked a couple of their hits and loved their sound as a band, but for some reason the songs I heard didn't age at all for me. As soon as a few years passed they sounded dated and stale.

But lots of people love them so I feel this might be on me. Can you recommend any lesser known songs to get back into them?

Yup the Jubilee. I love that. Seeing the Pixies there was so rad for old lazy dudes. Chill in a comfy seat and enjoy the great acoustics. Mac Hall i would be at the back trying to see past the U of C basketball team.

Yikes, that Modest Mouse show is going to be a rough turn out. Looks like maybe 3-400 tickets sold with a capacity of 2500.

The last couple of times I saw them they sucked. Well, Isaac sucked anyway. He's supposed to be sober now so I might take a chance and go.

I agree, last time they were here they sounded like crap. Would love to get some decent sounding MM.

I have seen Modest Mouse three times, and they were good one of those times. Their new stuff sucks imo, I wouldn't go see them again unless they were playing Lonesome Crowded West or Moon & Antarctica in full.
