Hey, did you know there's a new version of the Lion King coming out in a couple of weeks?


The day after Canada Day, TAR:Canada makes its return and Canada's Choice f'd up bad. The bottom three teams all messed something up in their own way, but Jet & Dave did the worst and were sent home after only one leg of the race.

Did I watch it right?

How did they end up 80 clicks out of Kamloops? Dislike Dave & Irina already, pretty cocky.

They made it all the way to Merritt before they finally stopped and got directions. That was after they got the first directions at the 7-Eleven (presumably in Kamloops).

That was just idiocy from Jet and Dave, darn it.

Not sure if the twin sisters are gonna annoy the hell out of me or if I love them. Certainly love their energy.

How the hell do you drive 80kms at the speed limit without asking for help with directions.

I'm not sure i want any team to win. This is going to be a long season.

I had 2 teams in the final 4 last year.
If I have a team past week 4 this year I'll be amazed.

One of the things I wish they showed at some point (I understand why they don't during the actual episode) would be how long it took the teams to do the task. So we'd get info like, "It took Team A 5 hours to do the planting challenge and 3 hours to do the railway challenge" sort of thing.

This week, the teams hit the road and drive to Revelstoke for the second leg of the race. Aarthy & Thinesh crush it putting together a train set and win the leg. Meaghan & Marie suck at putting together a train set and consider taking a penalty.

In the end, Nicki & Aisha go the wrong way on the way to the Pit Stop and allow Lauren & Joanne to survive.

Tough luck for both EldrickOnIce and bigtmac19 as they're both out after two weeks. That doesn't happen very often.

There will also be a new game element thrown in: The One Way. No idea what that might involve. If I were to guess, I'd say it probably allows teams to force a team to do one specific half of the Detour rather than the other.

Best part of Amazing Race is self-driving. It causes all sorts of problems.

Like Dave and Iryna left Kamloops 25 minutes before everyone else and got to the dirt bike track 2nd. With no tasks in between.

The theme they used for this season is to find the the most annoying and inept teams in Canada... I mean they were thinking about taking a penalty for building a model train? Getting lost to find the revelstoke mountain resort? There are signs like every km for it. Right Boo? haha

I'm just in it now to watch the russian bride and her bro bf cry when they get booted.

Quite surprised at that motorcycle challenge. Also surprised how most seemed to do. That's gotta be tough if you've never ridden a bike before or somewhat familiar with a manual transmission.

Think we all pooped our pants a hair when the twin sister who has already broke her neck once bailed pretty good.

Irina is a horrible person. Treating the official at the dirt track like that? "Come one, over here we are in a race you know!?" Ya, she knows. You don't need to be rude to her. Can't wait to never see those 2 again.

The dirt biking was frustrating to watch. We’re they not allowed to leave second gear? It was painfully slow.

I assume for liability reasons. Could you imagine if someone went full speed rushing to get the challenge over and lost control, broke their neck. That would be the end of the Amazing Race Canada.

This year out after week 2. Lol
Not sure that anyone is really 'lovable' this time but there seems enough to dislike.
ARC is the only non sports TV I watch during the summer. I really love this show.
