Mackinnon is a competitive SOB. You know he’s going to relish a chance to show he’s just as good as McDavid

It’s funny, for all the consternation around here the last 24 hours, the oilers may only end up playing for an extra week or so longer than the flames and in a few years no one will remember this series at all. It wasn’t memorable in the slightest.

Or Edmonton wins the cup and we all commit mass hara-kiri together.

I think Avs will take it in 6. At first I thought a sweep but I can imagine Smith stealing a game, and McDavid doing so too. Ultimately I think Colorado will dominate play. Edmonton's defence is weak AF which is why the loss to them is particularly frustrating. Yeah, it should be a sweep but it won't be. Also, I think Makar will stack up nicely against McDavid, so it should be less interesting once Colorado's offence pours it on.

All of a sudden, I love the Avs. Let's go MacKinnon! Let's go Makar!

Depends on instructions to the refs. I cannot believe the league will baby a Canadian team into the finals over an American team.

Go Avs. Oilers in 4 until the league proves to me they will call the games fairly.

The Oilers have yet to face a team where the other teams best dman is healthy. Tanev played well in the 2 games but he was dealing with things you shouldn't play through.

Doughty did not play a single minute.

Makar is not only playing he is way better than either and Toews is better than any dman the Flames have as well. Both played 26+ tonight. Both play well in their own end but also a threat to score.

Oh yeah and the Avs have Mackinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog with tons of depth.

LA did not have what it takes to put true pressure on the Oilers d and Smith and the Flames played like garbage and didn't test them either.

Anything is possible when you get this far but good luck.
