Okay I feel ya.

But nah...you're wrong. None of those McDavid games against the Flames were in the playoffs. Very few against Sutter.

They are all playing the best hockey of their careers but almost lost to LA without Doughty in 6 games lol

If depth and goaltending wins in the playoffs, then the Flames should take this series in 6 or less. Mike Smith is no Jake Oettinger, and the Oilers' D are terrible.

McDingleberry might be able to squeak out 1 or 2 wins all by himself (and with a little help from the refs of course), but I'm pretty confident that the Flames' superior depth, defence, and goaltending will ultimately win out.

Hopefully Tanev not seriously hurt. If he misses a game or two, OK.

I have a feeling Markstrom gives us his A+ game this round.

Gas prices where I live hit $2.34 a liter today. I expect this series will push it over $5 as oil production from Alberta completely dries up over the next week with every employee in the province either calling in sick or being sent home for being unfit to work.

This is going to be incredible. Flames in 6 with the grease only taking games 1 and 5.

Tkachuk and Toffoli off the schneid in time to play the loosey gooseys with a half-dead Draisaitl.

WTF do any games prior to this year have to do with these POs. Most of those games were not against Sutter, Markstrom, Tanev (assuming he plays), the twin towers, Coleman, Toffoli, Kylington, etc.

I really hope the refs just let them play. Call the dirty stuff sure, but let us watch some physical checking hockey.

Discipline is the name of the game. Don’t let the emotion consume you (looking at you Tkachuk). We play 5 on 5, we win the series.

Special teams is going to be the key.

Edmonton was 7/19 in the first round on the PP.

The Flames were 22/24 on the PK.

Hope we get Game 7 reffing for the second round and not early first-round reffing.

Thought for sure it would be Tuesday (so there could be a Saturday night HNIC), happy it’s Wednesday for the extra day. And the least amount of travel possible.

Let’s beat the piss out of them, that team will cave in 1/10 the time Dallas did.
Tkachuk, don’t get involved at all. Andersson, you either. This isn’t 1991 anymore even though CBC will dust off all the clips going back to the brawls in the Corral day and the press will hype up all the altercations the past couple years….and the Oilers saw what Dallas did game 1 and 2 and 3 and Tkachuk got slowed because of it.

All of those games were in the regular season, and very few of them were against a Sutter coached team playing relentless, lights out hockey.

Playoffs are an entirely different beast and the Flames are not a young, rebuilding LA Kings team missing their best player. This series is gonna be a lot tougher than you think, bub.
