It’s all Chucky’s fault for scoring with 0.1 seconds left and now he’s a hot pile of garbage lol

Give Dallas credit, they outworked them in the second half of the game.

Playoffs are supposed to be tough.
Playoffs are supposed to have ups and downs.
Adversity is a hell of a thing.
Flames in 7.

Do not disagree. Johnny playoff warrior. Matthew… no show each playoff series… very disappointing to see Matthew do nothing each playoff opportunity

Most people thought it would go 6 or 7 games. I didn’t think it would be easy tonight. Flames have home ice for game 7 and anything can happen as the whole series comes down to 1 game.
Flames showed they can do it last game at home and will do it again.

Biggest problem for Flames is no Tanev. I’d be so much more confident for game 7 with him in the mix. Hard to imagine he can play next game after not returning tonight, given what he played through last year. So unfortunate.

The problem is the Flames don't have an answer for Stars forecheck and getting shots from good scoring spots. And lots of their shots are either blocked or deflected. Stars are playing the perfect tight checking game this series, and have shut down the Flames offense completely.
With that, Otteninger is the star of the show because the odd times that the Flames can get through the D and get a good chance, he stands tall and makes multiple big saves per game.
You can clearly see the Flames play frustrated when they can't get that goal they're looking for. They play extremely disjointed, and have pucks bobbling off their sticks, lack transition, or try to do too much when the simple play is there, because they feel they need to do more in order to get a goal. And that plays right into Stars gameplan, because they can generate turnovers, and get their opportunities on the counter attack.
If Flames don't get the first goal in Game 7, it's game over. Flames need to be playing with confidence, and feel like they are dictating the game. If Stars can get the first goal, and zap the energy out of the dome. The Flames are gonna have too much sense of doubt, and give Oettinger a easy night, and a ticket to the next round.
This was the worst matchup for the Flames. Defense and goaltending wins championships, and Stars are all that this series. The good news though, is if they can win, then the next round should be a much easier challenge. And if they advance for that also, they could be mentally weathered for facing the Avalanche - assuming the make it to the conference final.
Winning much more faceoffs would help a lot for game 7.

Expecting Flames season to be over on Sunday, as it's the Flames way. They got goalie'd hard this series.
Hopefully Stars can beat Oilers in next round.
|
This just silly bean. Oilers are sitting at the series tied 3-3 they might not advance for all I know. Stars are sitting at the series tied 3-3, they might not advance for all I know. And yet, you are saying the bold part?

Ok so I have worn out the luck with my Ras jersey, who do I go with Sunday?
- Johnny (wore to game 2, though)
- Chucky
- Lindy
Or the standbys
- Kipper
- Iggy

After all this you just know McDavid or any capable offensive team will expose Oettinger in the second round.

Clearly the Flames were playing with a lack of desperation with thoughts of "Oh well we still have game 7 in our back pocket"
Sutter needs to weave his magic and get this team back on track. Fans will not tolerate another dissapointing playoff exit.
No more excuses from the players!

Some people ought to take a walk and chill. Tough game, but a great playoff game. Dallas have character. They're not pushovers.

If Tanev has a serious injury it's really just academic if the Flames win or lose sunday. They aren't going very far without him.

Well then maybe he’s part of the problem? If he wants to walk away then it’s time to look in the mirror. Sure he’s been better but he’s not exactly having a coming out party either.

I not only like your post, I’m so f’n envious that you’re able to have this outlook fresh after this game.
May you, and those like you, carry us featherweights to the next round. Cause I know I can’t do it.

Every year it’s the same crap.
Being a fan of this team is masochistic.
