Flames are also making poor shots, consistently hitting the goalie or just missing the net.

No clue why, however they are missing their opportunities.

Despite the position they have put themselves in, I remain cautiously optimistic after last night. This version of the Flames has shown more resilience to adversity compared to previous teams. Many of those teams crumble after this year's games 1-3 and get bounced out. At least this version has the ability to come back within the game and rebound fairly well after a loss.

Had the Flames found a way to come back last night, that save by Marky would have been a legendary moment for this franchise. Not meant to be

Tkchcuk plays the way he did for 82 games and not get roped into fighting and hurt himself, and this series was over in 5. If he plays that way tomorrow the Flames should be in control by the end of the first (as they have most games) but also have 3 goals.

Thank goodness for Stone. If it's Mackey Sutter will protect him, but best way for that not to be a factor is to get more then 1 goal in the first period.

On a (maybe) positive note, Tanev was playing like he was injured in the last two games prior to getting jumped on. If he was, then his replacement may by default be an improvement just by being healthy and able.

Stone has been incredible, so him drawing into the main 6 is just fine by me.

I think that the first period Sunday tells us everything. If they come out hard and fast, and get their fans into it early it's their game to win.

If they just let Dallas hang around all game, as they have much of the series, then it's right where Dallas will want to be.

The team that couldn't do it. Many think they've been an underachieving franchise that has wasted too many years of their core or had the wrong core. If they give it their all and lose then they're just not good enough and where do you go from there?

If they come out flat and lose that's easy as a fan to accept and move on.

They need to win to show the fans and themselves they can win.
I'm with Mr. Coffee on this one.

Show up and play your heart out ... out shoot and out chance the Stars. If they lose doing that I'll be 1000% more satisfied than coming out jittery and off their game.

Yeah true I'm 100% fine with Stone in the lineup so one of the top 6 (7 I guess) out was inevitable at some point in our long SCF run!

Feels like this game, and the whole series, will come down to which goalie outplays the other tomorrow. The Flames may need Markstrom's best game of the series.

If they play game 7 like they did game 6 I will be very disappointed. If they give it their all and end up getting goalied, I can live with that result. There’s not a single goaltender in these playoffs outside this series that has been remotely as good as Oettinger and I’m not sure how many teams could beat the Stars the way he is playing. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to your opponent.

I think game 7 is a coin toss. Any team in the NHL can beat any team on a given night.

That said it’s again going to come down to the goalie. Hopefully Markstrom shines

Btw, I will be happy if they win

And totally pissed off if they lose

There is no other emotion

On paper its a pretty simple path to victory. Offense needs to show up and Markstrom needs to have a great game. They'll be weaker defensively so outscoring their problems may be a necessity.

What was Johnny's ice time last night? It seems like he wasn't out there enough for a guyvwho made something happen every shift. That line has been completely thrown off by Tkachuk not being able to win a puck battle in the attack zone

Whole team needs to be better in the D zone, and players like Kyl, Gud, and Stone need to be a whole lot better. Even with Tanev, puck retrieval was dicey in the face of some hard-hitting Stars. And lots of turnovers by forwards.

Tempted to watch the tape of the shifts after we tied it.

Disappointed we didn’t weather the storm and get to the third period tied. That was critical and the coaches should have been asked about that.

Disappointed is sure the way with this franchise.

If Chucky is injured sit him. He looked silly on the winning goal and completely brought down the first line.

Tkachuk has been pretty ineffective. His skating is really holding him back. He needs to work on it this summer if he wants to have an effective career producing in the playoffs
