Gotta say Darryl knows already this team is fighting itself more than the Stars.
With all his years of experience he knows he can prepare this team physically with conditioning , strength training, watching film, systems etc etc .
Only the players can decide mentally whether they can use all the tools they have in terms of skill , talent, pace , blah blah blah . This PROCESS may take awhile as it seems certain guys just can't do it at this level despite Darryl and staffs efforts and that's NOT on them.
I hate seeing players give up and you look at the body language and it's pretty telling.
Burn the tape , don't look back and embrace what's left in redeeming yourselves guys .
Win tomorrow and move on . Lose.....and changes be a coming.
I hope Tanev can come back but if not we insert Mackey and continue with 7 D and maybe we insert Ruzicka in Tkachuks place since #19 just doesn't have it.
Let's play our game for the 7th ....a full 60 and the stars won't be able to win.....play anything less than 60 and the talk will be .....
- see told ya
- no killer instinct
- fire Brad
- Darryl sucks
- what the trolls say
-stuff that'll go on WOS as decided by the high sparrow ( i kid I kid) lol.
Come on Flames ....don't waste a great regular season .

I can assure you, the leafs fan base had nothing to do with them losing to the Habs.

Would have been nice to seal the deal last night but it just wasn't in the cards.
Now we will see the truest mettle of this core. Hopefully they can exorcise the demon.
Can't help but think Tkachuks hand is just too mangled for him to be useful. He hasn't been the same since that last scrape with Klingberg.

Maybe I have just overestimated how good the flames are. They haven't been able to play their game, their style and what made them successful, much this series.
Sunday is basically a coin flip, that I think favours Dallas (less pressure as the underdog). This feels like the flames teams after the cup in 89. Where you had so much hope going into the playoffs only to see them get tripped up every first round.

How has Dallas dictated the flow of the game?
Flames have 58.6% Corsi (435-307).
Flames have 56.8% Shots (220-167)
Flames have 56.6% High Danger Shots (83-61)
Flames have 56.2% expected goals for (22-17)
Those are all second in the playoffs only to Colorado, the Flames have dominated I pretty much every way outside of shooting percentage.
Flames have shot 5.45% which is last of all playoff teams.
The only thing Dallas has dictated is Oettinger playing great while also having a bunch of luck this series.
Last night Dallas did dictate play for the first time in the series, but that’s to be expected when you are facing elimination. That’s a tough team that wasn’t going to roll over.

The fact that it's going to a game 7 is just going to make the win that much sweeter.
Still not worried. and LA is going to be a cakewalk after this slog. Dallas was always just a weird matchup for this team, I wanted Nashville. Playing against Dallas is how the rest of the league feels playing against Calgary, just frustrating because they give up nothing

I’m not worried either, Dallas was facing elimination so you knew they were going to play hard, the Flames still played good. Plus the Flames were coming off a big emotional game 5 win.
That’s why we have home ice advantage, Dome will be rocking for game 7!

Dallas would be getting stopped without Oettinger. 8.49 goals saved above expected. Stupid Nashville losing that last game of the season lol

This is legit hilarious. It’s literally the next morning and you’ve had tons of time to regroup and collect your thoughts.
And the best you come up with is that a team on the verge of the 2nd round, with a Vezina finalist, needs a rebuild.
Do you and Bolevi exchange notes?

I’m getting that vibe from Tkachuks game. He’s playing like 2021. Needs to get his mind straight and decide if he wants to be a difference maker.

I appreciate these figures but it almost makes it more depressing to know the Flames are on the brink of elimination despite playing so well. They need to win on Sunday or this will be another epic choke job like 2019.
