Matt Chapman has been a complete bust. To be fair, everybody else has been a bit of a bust too.

Seems as if they really did need that left hand bat that Ramirez would've provided from CLE...both for the bat itself and the confidence it would give the collective team, that they are fully locked and loaded.

Instead, it almost seems now they have an excuse and are hitting dreadfully.

yeah but they have given Semien 175 million. He's hitting .150 with 0 home runs.

It's early and I do think the hitting will come around. But they are more fundamentally bad than just the hitting.

Right now, they are the Oilers without McDavid scoring. Once McDavid scores, they're still not that good a team.

Please somehow sweep the Mariners. Flexen been bad so far this year if they don't produce against him I might lose hope. Here in BC we got a good mix of Mariners and Jays fans.

Matt Chapman defensively has been excellent.

Clearly he is struggling offensively, however that will improve

Speculation is it's because he's not vaccinated. I thought maybe him playing in Toronto last season meant he would have to get vaccinated but someone said there was an exemption until January.

Hitters still really struggling to advances runners on base. The 2 solo jacks are great, but still 7 runners left on base with Two responsible for 3 of those.
