Hope he enjoys a long and healthy retirement. All time great, no question. Most of the commentary I hear in my head about important moments in amateur (and many in pro) sport are in his voice.

He was under-rated hockey play by play guy, who often occupied the 4th seat behind Cole, Irvin (who would do Habs games), and Whittman.
I always preferred him to Whittman by a good margin and wished he had more opportunities on HNIC.
I felt he had an excellent sense for the emotion of the game.
The Edmonton clip will never get old. Seriously though he's been on the call of so many classic moments. When I think of Olympic speed skating I think of him.
