Everyone should be given tomatoes for tomorrow to throw at the Canucks bench, primarily focus target would be Bieksa and the RAT

Which fan base had those ridiculously large flags they kept sending around their arena like a snail paced wave?

They don't do it during the game.
I believe it started in Ottawa during the World Juniors. Other teams have done it since.

Because I dont remember them recently trying something and it failing, no matter what anyones opinion on towels....lol.
I just think Flames are cheap even though their roster is one of the cheapest in the NHL.
It's not about being cheap.
The only reason they do give things like thunder sticks out is likely due to the sponsorships printed on them from Molson etc.
I'd be doubtful the team pays anything for them and likely even make a profit for supplying them.

No to towels - had this talk with a buddy the other day.
Yes to the cheap small accessory of some sort (necklace or pin) that flashes red. That looks amazing when the lights go out combined with all red clothing!

I remember getting a red Harvey tongue after the MacTavish tongue-pulling incident.

Towels may be waved by those wishing to surrender.

I like the fact that the C of Red is done by the fans and not organized by the team
If these fan bases brought their own towels it would be pretty cool thing, but having the towel neatly placed on every seat by the team just doesn't have the same meaning to me... too generated. Same with the Flyers handing out orange crush tshirts so the fans are in orange

Yeah, the C of Red is fan generated. Jerseys, T-shirts, heck, even red sweaters you've bought, not lame T-shirts pushed on the fan base by the team. The "Orange Crush" looked stupid.

Please, no towels. I am really at a loss to explain why it grates on me so much to see towel waving. It just does.

This is exactly how I always feel and I have no idea why.
