CPHL draft lottery odds

To avoid any confusion, these are the odds we will use for our draft lottery which are the same as last year.
The NHL keeps changing their system, and in 2022 have new rules including you can't move up more than 10 spots.
But we will use the same odds as last year:

Can you clarify more about this please. Are you only drawing the top 2 picks and then the rest of the order remains in place based on standings?
Ie: could I, with best odds right now, pick 4th -16th or are we still following the NHL and #3 the lowest I will go?

We draw for the first two picks and then the rest is by reverse standings

I had said two weeks before our draft. I assume folks are ok with that or would you all prefer earlier?

I have no dog to kick in this…

But I noticed in the past that once the first couple picks are moved, things get tight as teams become afraid to trade away what can be the first overall… once the lotto happens the picks start to moved again

Going early will eliminate the need for teams to hang onto a losing lotto ticket and allow the pick to be traded (if that’s what they wish)

OK well the NHL is doing theirs on May 10th. Unless there is an objection we will do it the same night. Probably around 7 pm Calgary Time. More details closer to that date
