Canada's comeback juuuuuuuust falls short.

Very tough loss, but hopefully their pushback gives them momentum heading into what is very likely a do-or-die against undefeated Italy

It is do or die. Based on tiebreakers GB and Norway are in. So it's just between Canada and Sweden, who are done at 5-4.

Yea I picked that up post match.

Would be incredibly frustrating if Canada were to lose out on a medal because of a choke job to the last place team.

What's the tiebreaker again? Something about draw weight with the hammer?

One fact I loved hearing last night was that John Morris actually coaches Team Australia outside of the Olympics haha

The tiebreaker is head to head first then draw to the button distance that starts every game (DSC). Canada's is bad 48.88cm which is 2nd last to Australia.

So the scenarios are.

1. Canada wins and they're in.
2. Lose and they're out because
2a. GB, Norway and Canada all lose: It's a 4 way tie for 2nd. Head to head between the four teams. GB and Norway 2-1, Canada and Sweden 1-2. Then Sweden beat Canada. Canada is out.
2b. GB and Canada lose. 3 way tie for 3rd. Canada lost to both GB and Sweden so Canada is out.
2c: Norway and Canada lose. 3-way tie for 3rd. Canada, Norway and Sweden beat each other, all 1-1. Then goes to DSC which Canada is the worst.

I didn't see the Australia game but Homan and Morris haven't been super sharp in what I have watched. Their shotmaking has been hit or miss and teams that have their draw weight are giving them problems. They were extremely fortunate to have beaten the Czechs.

They lose to Italy and they are 5-4. You don't really deserve to advance to final 4 with a record like that.

But you win, and you're feeling good. They just need to win three straight now, very doable.
