made a killing on bohemian rhapsody. it was in development purgatory for so long I got 50,000 shares for an average of 10 cents each. made multiple millions on that one.

I've have a largely now inactive account on HSX, that I started over 20 years ago. At one point I was in the top 1000 of portofolio sizes. I think I've slid down to about 2000 now. I don't play anymore, just buy some longterm stuff.

Just checked....and wow do I have some big losers. A Start Wars story 3, Justice League 2, and the Batman did not do so well for me.

Nows the time to buy low on Batman before the movie comes out and makes a billion dollars.

no. not for real. just pretend money, but it does make the entertainment industry a lot more fun to have "money" on it.

you long play a movie stock for example , and when it's released you can also take up the options for what it makes opening weekend.

I make good pretend money short selling overrated movies.

I don't know if Taron Egerton is a good actor, but I liked him in Kingsman.
perfect subject matter for chewing some scenery.

as troutman said in another thread.
We could see Bohemian Rhapsody repeated again this year, with Rocketman, and Taron Egerton as Elton John. Seems to be what the Academy likes.

in an interview at CinemaCon, Egerton stated the film would be more of a fantasy-musical as opposed to a straightforward biopic.

John called it "a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a Moulin Rouge!

Detective Pikachu looks fun but I think I'm just outside the nostalgia bubble to get most of the references. When he mentioned the "twist", I had no idea why that was a twist.

No way. Unlike BR, looks like Rocketman is going to be given an R rating and fully dive into the sex, drugs, and drunken debauchery of Elton John in his younger days. And clearly not Elton John singing in any of the trailer songs, so I'm guessing Ergerton has redone the vocals on all of the songs himself, which I think is incredible.

Mewtwo being in the movie is a pretty big reveal.

if you don't know who one of the original 151 is, the movie probably isn't for you

You're probably right. I'll probably watch with the kids so hopefully it doesn't rely on too much prior knowledge about the series to enjoy it.

What do you think the cutoff is between people who know absolutely nothing about Pokemon and those who were totally obsessed with it at on point? 34?

I don't have a clue. I do remember my younger brother having different coloured Pokemon gameboy games though.
