Default Ticket Sale Warning

Just a heads up to be extremely careful if you decide to sell tickets to CanucksFan99. A few months ago they PM'd me about some tickets I had posted. We set up a meeting time and place and I went there and waited for about a half hour and they never showed up. So I PM'd when I got back and have yet to receive a response back from them about the incident.

Anyway, this week I noticed another poster have the exact same thing happen to them with this poster. No show and no response after.

So be very careful if you do decide to do any transactions with this poster.

I recently had a perfectly fine transaction with that particular poster - no problems at all.
Sorry to hear things didn't go as well for you.

Well if his record is 1 for 3 then I'd still be very leery about going out of your way to meet the guy.

This is the exact reason why I prefer to email my season tickets and get paid electronically. Avoid having to meet up and potentially be stood up. This has happened to other people I know who have sold on the message board.

Should someone send a link of this thread to the user?

Obviously I'm not the only one that has been asked by him about tickets. He's buying way too many from way too many people to be used personally. I'll rarely sell to the guy that only seems to use this forum for buying tickets. Just screams of scalper to me.

I think it would be pretty hard to scalp tickets in these markets. Lots of Flames games available on Kijiji and other web sites for face value and below face value.

Unless it's a premium game like a Oilers or Canucks game I don't see him scalping tickets.

+ 1

The guy is shady.

Canucksfan99 ,squelched on half a season he promised to buy from me. I had 3 people interested, and was being fair, and went in the order they claimed the tickets. He was 2nd. Waited a week to hear back from him, and he vanished. The third guy in line had found a set through someone else, and I was left holding the bag.

Do not agree to sell tickets to this poster, by the stats so far in this thread, he is 75% likely to back out without having the guts or spine to tell you.

Problem with that is, he will just get a new handle.

Edit: And what else would you expect from a Canucks fan anyway... he probably pulls hair too.

lol

Id just like to see what he/she has to say for themselves. Some users have had good experiences/some have had bad experiences.

I don't think they are able to post in this forum. The mods were hesitant about letting me post this warning here because the poster wouldn't be able to respond, but said if they had any other issues with him that I could go ahead and create this thread.

CanucksFan99 and I had agreed for him to buy 3 games from me. I even told other people the tickets were sold, but then he never responded. By the time I got back to other people, they had already bought other tickets. He is no longer welcome to buy anything from me.

On the subject of good and bad buyers, has the topic of creating a good/bad buyers thread ever come up?

Another forum I post on does it and it is a great way to keep tabs on prospective buyers/sellers, and not just for tix either.

It worked on a +1/-1 kind of system. Someone backs out of tickets they get a -1. When transactions go well they get a +1.

I sell a lot of tickets on CP for Flames games and have to sift through a fair number of PMs, lots of times from posters without many posts. I think it would be helpful to keep track of who is reliable and who isnt'.

That's a fantastic idea. When someone PMs me usually the first thing I check is to see how active they are on the forum. Then I usually leave my phone number and tell them to call...it is a lot easier to be a dickwad and back out on a deal when hiding behind your computer...harder to do over the phone especially since I then have your number and can always call back.

I wish we had red and blue squares back.

Or maybe we just have a thread dedicated to reporting posters who acted in bad faith.
