Joker is the most profitable comic book movie of all time:
Quote:
With a significantly lower production budget than most of its superhero counterparts and comparable box office earnings, Joker has just become the most profitable comic book film of all time.
The gritty, R-rated film has earned approximately $956 million at the worldwide box office five weeks into its wide theatrical release -- $304.2 million of its current total from the domestic box office where the studio receives a larger percentage of ticket sales. With a reported production budget of $62.5 million and a relatively smaller marketing budget than most major tentpole films, Joker has earned 15.3 times its budget from its box office haul to date.

Yeah, they knocked it out of the park with numbers like that.
Is it limited to 'Comic Book Movies?' What is the most Profitable film of all time?

Assuming it is based on the ratio of budget to box office it’d be a horror or indie movie. Quick google suggests Paranormal Activity. 19000% ROI.
After more searching lots of different numbers used. $15k budget to $450k, which I assume includes the cost paramount paid for it.
Either way it made almost $200m internationally on a budget of less than a million.

Did you watch the Star Wars rebel cartoon? It had Tarkin in it and that animation took a lot of getting used to. But I think after watching Rebels your brain has more versions of Tarkin to accept so it fixes the Uncanny valley problem.
With Leia it jumped out at me right away and looked wrong.

New Documentary series "Slugfest" in the works that will explore the DC Marvel rivalry:
Quote:
“The men and women who were behind the creation of some of the best-known and most revered characters in the world will share their stories and reflect on the symbiotic relationship between DC and Marvel, whose rivalry pushed the medium to its greatest heights," the people behind Quibi said in a statement. "The series features the stories of the remarkable behind-the-scenes endeavors and achievements that defined these industry titans, from the secret crossover inspired by the Halloween parades of small-town Rutland, Vermont, to the history behind the bone-crushing handshake between Superman and Spider-Man, in the first official crossover.”

Ya Black Adam is one of my favourites. And I also love The Rock, so should be at least enjoyable if not good.

With the success of Joker and now Black Adam confirmed to be coming out I would kill for a Sinestro movie where he forms the yellow lanterns. Need the whole Legion of Doom to have solo films.

It'll be interesting if they keep that release date because it's less than a week after Avatar 2 is scheduled to come out. It looks like WB isn't scared of the sequel dominating the box office like the original did.

Jumanji 2 came out the same time a SW Episode 8 and made over $900 million. Should be okay because it is coming out in December.

DC should have done the exact opposite of Marvel and had origin movies of all their villains the came into a big super villain team up.

It would appear DC is going to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut. Can’t imagine it can be worse than Whedon’s version, so why not?

I'll give it a go. All the actors seem to be behind it.
Like you said, it can't be worse... can.. it?

I never watched the original JL out of spite for BvS and the fact that I can’t make it through the first horrid Superman moustache scene.
So maybe I’ll try the Snyder cut.

Has the release been confirmed? I can find news on the actors calling for the release, but nothing official about the release.

No but there’s been an online campaign and the actors have tweeted support, after being silent on the issue for quite a while. Then yesterday the score composer tweeted a teaser that said “tomorrow”.
While it could be all coincidence, it seems odd all these things would happen at once. Speculation is DC has already decided and this is all just hype.

This is likely all just lipstick on a pig or a clean-shaven face on a mustachioed man.
I cant imagine any fdegree of editing that is going to salvage that movie.
