Not my garage or anything important but a house that I drive by almost every day on Mcknight Trail, just west of Center Street, is finally finishing their garage. I'm pretty sure it is has been sitting for years unfinished. The framing and sheeting was done and the door openings boarded up and I thought it would never get done. But this week they finally started installing siding and I think they will be installing garage doors soon. I'm happy that the guy is finally getting a garage.

Ha! I'm near there, I know the one. It's been a big particle board eyesore for to long. There was one on my street that was finished to tyvek when we bought our place. It stayed that way for 10 years, then got re-wrapped, then finally finished 2 years later.

I have the same problem. I didn't get power to the site until December 16th, so I haven't got it hooked up to the garage/workshop yet. I am going underground from the power pole to the garage, so I'll have to wait until April. Without power and heat, progress has been stalled.

I did a project near there and drove past it every day for a year. I'm happy for the homeowner to finally get some progress. Reminded me of that house in that valley stretch on 22x near coalmine road that sat in it's tyvek pajamas for like 2-3 years.

I might be stalled due to budget in the interior. I have to wait and see what the final concrete bill comes in at. However I am pretty surprised at how far I have come. When I was getting quotes and setting up budget, I built the biggest I figured concrete, and the outside shell would cost me. and figured (lumber, siding shingles doors.) I've been shopping around for the best prices, and I have all that plus insulation wiring and all fixtures, Reznor Heater and door openers. All that is really left is the interior siding. Might be $1800 left to do...

Any experience with ginding down and/or mud jacking a fairly new slab that is moving around and cracking before we throw down epoxy?
It was draining perfectly to our central floor drain but now either the one corner has sunk (or adjacent has pushed up) and now we're getting the slightest bit of water collecting at the o/h door rather then draining to the center. Drives me mental.
Can we grind it back to proper drainage? We're talking about fractions of an inch I'd guess.

Home depot has some stuff to go under the concrete to support a sinking situation. No clue how it works though. Not much help.

Have I been busy? Yes, yes I have. Drywall dust sucks. But done that phase! Paint this weekend, I hope. I bought a paint sprayer, so hopefully it doesn't take to long. I've got some other jobs it will be handy for, so I think it is worth it. Then epoxy the floors! Once that's done, baseboards and a little trim, get the furnace installed, put up my proper lighting and I can officially wrap up construction, and move on to the fun stuff, like building work benches and storage.

Happy 3rd summer, Garage! You're growing up so slow. If I blink I might miss nothing.

Based off the garage progress I can expect it to happen in 3 to 4 summers.

Technically the first dig started July 24th 2017, so I've got a few months until it's 2 years, not 3.

All I see is a fresh garage floor and no plausible explanations for where the first 14 hockeyguys went.

Hockeyguy15 is angling to become a shed base. Next summer.
