570 different MLB players have gotten a hit
55 of them were pitchers
Good. A few years ago he said he wasn’t chasing Bonds’s home run record of 73, as he didn’t consider it the real record. Now he’s got his own record, that we’ll all recognize as legitimate.

A's centre fielder Ramon Laureano just threw a dart to nail Bogaerts at 3rd base from deep right centre field about 375 feet away as Bogaerts looked to have a sure triple. Also if that hit Bogaerts connected on was just 1 foot further to the left it would've been a game tying HR.
Awesome.
This guy?

I have no idea what's going on with the Mariners. I skipped out on buying an MLB TV subscription this year because I was pretty sure they were going to be terrible.
I think everyone thought they were going to be terrible. Heck it's so early so there is plenty of time for them to re-discover their characteristic M's identity. But this is pretty fun. At the end of the season that final wild-card spot is up for grabs to anyone hovering around .500 in my opinion. So many bad teams in the AL. Angels, Rangers, Royals, Tigers, Blue Jays, Orioles, White Sox and the Twins are all trending between bad and horrendous. Lot's of wins out there to be had by an OK team like the Mariners.

The Mariners will be amazing until about July 20, then win three games to the end of the season.
Few teams break the local fans' hearts like the Mariners.

You're missing the rash of catastrophic injuries that usually hit around June, resulting in them morphing into the Tacoma/Jackson Mariners, but in general your point is correct.
I didn't realize Chris Davis is making $23 million yearly until 2022! Is it possible for a career turnaround or will Baltimore end up eating most of this contract?

3-for-5 with 4 RBIs today!
Streak is over!
Red Sox suck!

Lol well speaking of the Rays, here's an elite baseball injury.

The Tampa Bay Rays have placed ace Blake Snell on the 10-day injured list with a broken toe, the team announced Tuesday.
Snell, the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner, suffered a fractured fourth toe on his right foot when he got out of the shower and then attempted to move a large granite bathroom stand.
"Really dumb," Snell told reporters Tuesday. "It's like a three-piece set and this pole that comes up like 2½, 3 feet. Went to move it, I lifted it up and it wasn't glued to the pole and the pole came crushing down."
The move is retroactive to Sunday, and Snell said he expects to miss only one start.
