That’s fairly irrelevant when it comes to China though, where you live. Are you from China, or do you have any friends or family that live there? You can be honest, because if you do the government monitoring this site already knows about it. I also already know your response to this, and I hope your family is safe.

Basically the US got what they wanted, which is the ability to make something stick to Huawei if they need it. China got their person back and set a precident on future actions. We got the two Michael's back, but now it comes down to what Canada decides on the 5G file as they can't win either way.


If they chose to ignore out allies and allow Huawei in, while we won't be booted out of alliances, the American's and British will label us as untrustworthy and that flow of information and intelligence will dry up.


If we ban Huawei, I expect China will find a way to slam us on the trade front.

Why are we sending anyone to the Olympics again?

I was watching some news stories from Australia about how China has been dealing with them and I think Canada should be standing with Australia against China. Not to mention how they threaten Taiwan on a daily basis.

Having said that, if Australia is participating in the Olympics and considering how they have much more at stake, it's no wonder other countries aren't considering non-participation.
