I seem to recall some posters doing this a few years ago, and turning out that these rankings tend to amount to nothing.

Hard to believe that Sam Bennett would return a 2nd round pick and a high level prospect so you know this guy is not blue chip.

I have always been curious what options the acquiring team has in these deals where the prospect was not the key feature of the deal. Like this deal, the Russell deal that got us Pollock or who can forget Hanowski and Agostino. Did the Flames get their pick of prospects after the other team protected x players?

Treliving said they were looking at Heineman in the draft but I would think that would be true of most players in later rounds.

I have not read this issue yet, but in the back they typically have 5 and 10-year look-backs to see "where are they now".
