I would absolutely take Zuccarello, guy is a great, consistent option on the right side to put up points. However, he is a left shot, he's tiny, and he's a playmaker - he's going to need someone to dish the puck to.
I'm thinking a Tkachuk - Backlund - Zuccarello line would be a very good one to go into the playoffs with, and a Bennett - Jankowski - Frolik line would be a bit more stable.
I'd probably also look at getting a reliable checking line guy as well for additional depth. Would love to get Kevin Hayes, who can be a big body and move up into the top-six if needed. Had chemistry with Gaudreau too.
The Rangers are actually full of useful players the Flames could use if you consider they also have Grabner and Krieder.

Fine by me. If all he does is shoot (and not ten miles wide) then great!

If and when our GM adds one or two highly offensive goal scoring snipers we dont have to worry about the playoffs. We arent good enough to make the playoffs with what we have right now. Extremely mediocre

Don’t know how to imbed a gif but one that conveys a joke going right over someone’s head would be appropriate here.

Saad is my target. Brodie and Fox for Saad and Gustafson.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Saad/Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Bennett-Jankowski-Ferland/Saad
Hathaway-Stajan-Brouwer

Interesting proposal. I could see a trade along those lines happening at the draft. Doubtful it could get done by deadline time.

Well, he was picked with a Calgary Flames 2nd round pick, so he is rightfully ours.

Think they'd trade him for Wayne Primeau?
...Also, we got rid of Anton Stralman in that deal.

There were rumours that when Saad dropped in draft to second round, that Calgary tried to move up to select him .

I have no doubt that was correct, as many teams likely did.

Ohhhh.... IC.
My wife has a saying... If you need to explain it then it likely wasn’t very funny in the first place.

Most people didn't need to have it explained to them though.

But I was asking honestly. I don’t get it. Perhaps I’m over looking something... but its like I have lived in a cave for months on end (oh right, I deploy for months on end in the middle of the ocean with very little communication to the outside world).
So thanks for trying to make me feel stupid, you and the OP. Perhaps when you guys want to stop being @$$holes, maybe then you can actually explain what I’m missing?

The joke is that Grabner's stat line of 26g-5a would be something you expect a Cy Young winning pitcher to get in terms of wins/losses.
In other words his goal to assist ratio is extremely high.

I thought they stopped calling in the Cy Young and renamed it the Jeff Carter award. Didn't he almost always have way more goals to assists?
