I wouldn't say he hasn't done anything wrong, but he hasn't become really unlikeable yet. He's still lovable old grumpy guy, except the murdering and stuff.
Maybe you haven’t seen breaking bad I guess but anyone who has would consider Jimmy a hero compared to pretty much anyone on that show, including Saul. Which is why I said all things considered, like BB. Not to mention the fact Chuck deserved everything he got. He’s the unlikable jerk on this show, not Jimmy.
Mike is one of my favourite characters on TV. Slightly less sympathetic than Jimmy but the stuff he does still has a soft side to it with what happened to his son and him helping his daughter in law and grand child. I mostly think he’s awesome for how gruff he is and his hilarious sometimes unintentional deadpan delivery when he deals with Jimmy/Walt/Jesse’s stupid bull####.
I’ve actually liked most of the anti heroes on tv. Frank Underwood, Tony Soprano, Don Draper etc. Actually of all of the recent characters of this type the only one I didn’t like was Walter White but rarely because of the ####ty things he did, it was usually because of the moronic decisions he made (discussion for another time).

I find Jimmy is becoming very unlikable. He's gone from a lovable loser to a soulless little ####... and it's been a really great slow boil. I actually was really liking Jimmy most of the show and was wondering what drove him to become "Saul". It's literally unfolding before our eyes.
Which is sad because Jimmy is a very likable person and I love Kim as a character. Show has been just tremendous so far.
Is it me or is anyone kind of finding Saul's character moving into unlikeable territory? I get that he's a flawed character but he seems to be losing that sliver of charm that redeemed him. By contrast Mike is downright likeable in comparison.
pretty interesting theory regarding Kim and Mesa Verde that I've read on another board. Originally from Reddit, I believe.
Spoiler!
I think that Kim knows something deeply troubling about Mesa Verde and that she's not simply welshing under pressure.
I think she's seen through a facade of extreme niceness toward her and realised that, to be blunt. Mesa Verde are handling drug money. The speed of that expansion and the will to expand right across the country with all that fancy architecture? C'mon, that's a leap too far, there has to be hundreds of millions of dollars available for that expansion, and not just from good, clean, honest mortgages.
We can fill in the blanks from there and conclude that, given the universe we're dealing with here, it's the money from maybe the cartel, but more likely from Los Pollos Hermanos; it's possible that this regional bank is cooperating with or even just another front for Gus Fring.
If you go looking for character flaws in Mesa Verde you might see:
- Their willingness to put up with some shadiness surrounding Kim + Jimmy
- Their extreme niceness to her, all those lunches and dinners (though we know that's just business, the show hasspent a fair amount of time having us rub shoulders with those characters.)
- That boss of theirs is slightly too much of a good ol' boy to just be a plain ol' bank manager. That ####er is dirty.
I quite like that Kim looked up at their logo statuette in the lobby - it's a freakin' cowboy. Maybe that's all MV really are.
If I'm even half-right then if Kim even tries to do the right thing here she's going to get burned, hard, and might end up dead or hoover-manned.
That's enough right there to make a sufficiently explosive/fitting ending to the show arc and send Jimmy right over the bent horizon.

I think it's a little early for her to come to any conclusions about drug money given her short time with MV and less than intimate knowledge of their business dealings. I would say if anything she was caught off guard by how ambitious their plans of growth are and that she's going to be overwhelmed and looking at the man and the woman in the model made her think about life being more about just work.

Yeah, I think the drug aspect is a bit of a stretch. I don't think every company in ABQ is going to turn out to be a secret meth distributors.
Kim does seem to be stressed out. Maybe she oversold herself with Mesa Verde and is feeling overwhelmed by everything. Jimmy doesn't seem to be much help in this.

If anything Jimmy is a major distraction in her life that's getting in the way of work but maybe her underlying issue is that her life is all about work and she's realizing she may want more.

Just watched the latest episode.
When the guy who is sleeping in his office orders pizza he says "Just a large cheese" "yes, sliced please" "Could you also throw in some dipping sticks?".
Little easter egg there.

I'm sure that Kim will realize on her own that Jimmy is a detriment to her and leave him in her own accord and go on to a successul and prosperous legal career.

Right guys?
Guys?
... Kim gon' die
i don't think she has to die necessarily, though that's probably the most dramatic conclusion.
She just has to leave jimmy alone in the world, without anyone to keep him on the straight and narrow.

Yeah I keep going back and forth on this. I don't think her death is inevitable although I wouldn't be surprised either. I think it's likely she ends up with her life in ruins and a husk of her former self, but not necessarily dead.
Saul seemed like he only got mixed up with some pretty small potatoes criminals up until BB, so not sure how the story line would go to have her killed.
