I loved Zombie because not only her voice, but its just such a powerful drum and base line.

Sure we butcher it in the garage but we butcher it out of love.

There is something uplifting about that song.

Dreams was always my favourite. Feels like a good summer song to me for some reason.

One of my favourite vocalists and just a fantastic entertainer live. RIP Dolores.

She had many demons she was dealing with. Can't help but think they maybe caught up to her (abused as a child, anorexia battle, chronic and severe back pain, she attempted suicide a few years ago).

Regardless, it's another great voice taken too soon.

I know it was used in a travel commercial. That might be why thoughts of warm weather are in your head (in your head).

Coroner has released the cause of death. Accidental drowning caused by alcohol intoxication. No evidence of self harm. Only therapeutic amounts of prescription medication.

Final Cranberries album coming out on April 26th.

Quote:
“I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of Dolores’ passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band,” Eileen O’Riordan, Dolores’ mother, said in a statement.

“I miss her awfully, specially today, as does the entire family. She was very excited about this new album and was really looking forward to its release. I have no doubt that she is happy now and would be delighted with today’s announcement.”

The first single "All Over Now" is, well, the Cranberries. Hard to listen to the voice, know this is it and not be emotional. Check that...impossible.

Right as I opened this thread, Linger came on in my office on a random alt 90s Spotify playlist.
So strange.
