Fisher ruling
Here痴 what we are going to do with Mr. Fisher.
The closest precedent we have for this is when we un-retired Ilya Kovalchuk. So we are going to largely follow the same process.
Fisher will be open to UFA bidding from all teams.
The player will be awarded to the team who submits the best offer according to our standard calculation: Term x Salary x AHL % (10-50%, or 1 way).
Teams must have cap space at the time of the closing of the bidding for the offer to be valid. Meaning, if a player comes off a IR and puts you over the cap at the deadline, your offer is null.
The deadline for submissions is Monday at 6 PM Calgary time. Offers should be made to cphlufa@yahoo.com.
The Islanders will have the right to MATCH the winning offer, with that decision required 48 hours after the original winning offer is announced. They also must have enough cap space to fit Fisher in.

Yes -- but there are other considerations to be made. Fisher's only going to play for the rest of this season. If you significantly overpay, you might be forced to deal with cap penalties, especially if you give him a multi-year deal

Let's wait for league to confirm his rating before jumping to conclusion because it will impact what type of offers are made.

Misinformation
If Fisher retires at the end of the Predators NHL season then it's the end of the CPHL season as well and there is no cap penalties
If he would retire during the Predators season (NHL games remaining) then yes he would retire during our season as well and cap penalties would apply. Thats if he was still on the team that signed him (not traded)

Yes, it's good to have information out like this just in case. I could just as easily be wrong and then there's time for someone to correct me also.
It's better that all teams are on the same page rather than teams learning it after the fact.

I need to load him back into the sim to confirm the 76 OVR. The individual attribute ratings in the original spreadsheet are what I will load, but sometimes the OVR is slightly different. i intend to do that today, pending pears.

Islanders will need to get creative to match any offer.
Currently only 11 forwards on the roster and only $0.03mill available. You should get that sorted first Scorp.

Word out of San Jose is that Tyutin is on waivers that would free up $5.27Mill in salary. Is the plan to use this on a contract offer to Fisher??? We'll find out!

You know Scorp, my little head decided to do a little investigation. Yesterday I noticed Keith rotting away on your IR. So I scratched my little head and thought it was odd because I remembered seeing Keith play in a game vs us recently.
So I picked a random date (Jan 7), that's as far back as my little head was willing to go, and low and behold Keith played in every game for you since then.
So while the rest of the GM's are managing their lineup daily and trying to play the game the right way, you weren't.
Some GM's are forced to waive players risking them being picked up. Some GM's are making trades to make sure their roster is in order. GM's are not supposed to hide $10mill players on IR for extended periods of time as if everything is OK. I am sure it had something to do with all the roster issues you had earlier in the season amounting to a bunch of watchdog warnings.
You cheated the game by doing this and got away with it for a long time and you just took him off IR because I noticed it yesterday.
Play the game the way it's supposed to be played and like I said previously, do what you need to do to get your stuff sorted out and worry less about my little head.
That is all.

That's not entirely accurate. I wasn't very diligent in managing the day-to-day affairs of my team over the last month, owing to a variety of factors, namely surgery and exams. I should have taken a leave from the league for a period of time in January but I had no malicious intent. I'm sorry that this occurred but I really didn't pay attention to the CPHL at all in January, something which I regret not taking care of before I went in for surgery early last month and in advance of my exam period.
My fault. But I didn't mean any malice. I apologize and now that I have recovered I will ensure this is rectified fully in the future.

Avs have sent a request into the league confirming if Carrie is part of signing Mike. Will make a decision after league ruling.

Carrie doubles Mike's value easily, really have a lot riding on this ruling.
