I'll update it. No worries.

Can anyone tell me why Kopitar has played so few games for my team and how I could find that info myself? I can see he was traded for in July but nothing beyond that.

I think the former GM wasn't managing his roster day to day very well.

So bit of an odd question, but I'm struggling a bit understanding how the sim actually works.
I notice very few of you have adjusted line time %. For example, I see that by default, every team plays their 4th defence pairing for 10% of the game at 5v5.
But it's rare for a team to dress even 7 D in the NHL. Why would I want to give my crappy 4th pairing any time when I can give that to better players?
How can changing my 4th pairing ice time % to zero negatively effect me? Assuming my 1st pairing can play 25 mins a night, 2nd pairing 20, and 3rd pairing 15, why wouldn't I want to do that?

Eh, when it comes to the defense, what I do is I stick my first pairing on for 35%, the second for 30%, the third for 25%, and then I put my first pairing as the "fourth pairing" and put them out for the last 10%

I used to try and underplay my fourth line and generally I lost a lot of games I don’t know why but it seemed ineffective. But those are good things to experiment with to find the right settings and lines

A couple of other things based on this page: http://cphl.calgarypuck.com/rosters/was.htm
- Can I assume that my 2018 draft picks are for the June 2018 draft? (just odd since it lists 2017 as well)
- What are the percentages in brackets next to player salary?
- It also says "Special: Islanders owe Caps a top-28 pick by the 2018 draft"... what's that about?

Yes, the picks have not gone away yet
Percentages are their AHL salary, so if a cphl player has a 10 million dollar contract with 10% in brackets, their ahl contract will be 1 mil
The islanders will have to find a way to get you a top 28 pick for the draft, so they'll likely have to get one through a trade to then give to you

I owe you a first-round pick, that's what that means. Look at all the conditions on my page if you want a laugh

We could certainly negotiate that.
And yes, I made all those trades. Many of those conditions have already been fulfilled though, I submitted a request to remove a few of them a while back.

Last question for tonight maybe:
If I trade for a player with 41 games remaining in my season, and that players cap hit is $2 million, will it only count against my cap as $1 million (50% of the season)?

No, it'll cost $2 million. Salaries are uniform throughout the season. The percentage beside the name is how much that player will cost in the AHL

You can always ask for cap coverage in Cheese though. If I sent you Duncan Keith for six first-round picks, for example, I'd also likely send you $9.99 million in Cheese to completely offset that cost for this season.
