No trophy or presentation in pro sports comes close to the Stanley Cup.

I don’t know that this was a good defensive battle. Brady had time to throw and just missed open receivers continuously starting from his first throw. It was almost as bad as Manning. If Brady had a decent game they would have put up points.
The Pats shutting down the Rams was impressive.

But let's take Bettman out of it. Let each team nominate a great player to present if they win.

The worst part of that hot take is how many people were talking about the death of football after the Chiefs-Rams game. The Chiefs-Rams game wasn't the death of football, it was offensive football executed at the highest level we've ever seen, and it won't be the future of football, it was just offensive football at it's peak. Tonight was offensive football at it's worst, poor on almost every level, especially by the Rams.
I love defense and all, but when this game is re-watched and dissected the poor QB play and horrible game plan (from the Rams especially) is what is going to shine through here. This wasn't the Giants giving an all-time great performance in SB43. This was Goff costing himself millions on national TV and Brady basically throwing option routes to Edelman and that's it.

Goff and his inexperience cost the Rams. He looked lost for the most part in dealing with the Pats defence and wasn't able to spot the open recievers like a Brady would have done under the same pressure.
I always felt that Brady and his experience would be the deciding factor and he was. He was money when it came to crunch time.

Wouldn’t always work out out but the captain that won the cup the previous year presenting it to the next captain would be awesome.

And to me that's more impressive, both Gretzky and Jordan captained their teams to dynasties when they were stacked, but the Brady era Pats have been top in the NFL for almost 20 years with the only constants being Brady and Belichick. It doesn't matter who you give Brady to play with, he wins. I feel fortunate to have witnessed his entire career from the first win in '02 to now

Dominance over peers would be the question.
The first and second super bowls the defenses carried the team. Manning was the better QB through many years of Brady career and then after that Rodgers was better. Both consistently let down by their defence. Brady only had 1 season that you would say was one of the best ever by a QB. He is clutch though.
Jordan was the best at his position without question while he played in both regular and post season. So was Gretzky. I think Gretzky is still the most impressive because of the gap between him and the 2nd best player.

I actually think it was Bellichick and his experience prevailing overy McVey.
The Patriots have won every style of game you can think of to collect thsee 6 Superbowls. It speaks of how masterful Bellichick is at utilizing what he has to win.

I think we saw different games. Brady was actually pretty bad this game, and if not for the Patriots D and Goff being goff-awful, he would be piled on crazily for a losing effort. If this was the Saints, god help us all btw, they likely win 21-10.

Regular season sure. But if you look at post season stats Brady dominates everyone

Comes down to a few plays, as always, in football. For all the back and forth all game, these plays happened at the end. Goff trying too hard to go back to the deep well after the first one should’ve been caught for a TD, and he half heartedly rainbows it for the INT. It was not necessary or desperation at that point to force it, since the Rams had momentum that drive, he really needed to check down on that pass or throw it away.
Rams then couldn’t stop the run as the Pats chewed up over 5 mins.

When the camera panned to McVey in the last few minutes, his look said it all.
