We had a robin make a nest under our deck, and we found that we could spy on the inside of it by looking through the cracks in the wood. So cool to get an up close view of nature! Four bright blue eggs, and over this cold weekend they started to hatch! 3/4 are hatched now, so neat to see.

I know it's a little thing, but during this stupid pandemic it's the little things that can keep a smile on your face.

If we are talking about little things that RMMH.
Opened a new bag of ju--jubes this afternoon that was nearly perfect. Hardly any yellow ones, some greens, a few black ones but nearly all of them were either red or orange.
If they sold bags of nothing but red and orange I'd buy those.

I'll trade you all my orange and red ones for all your yellow and green.

Ok a couple things

1. What kind of monster likes the yellow and green?
2. You have a deal.

Jackpot, I can’t wait until Covid is over and they bring the bulk bins back so I can have my 60/40 red/orange jujubes.

i had a band practice last night - it was awesome.... not so much for the music (you could sure tell we haven't played in 7 months) but becuz it's been so long since seeing the guys. the stories, the friendly jabs and having fun started immediately.
we rehearse in one of the guy's double car garage with the door up - so we're able to keep our distance - and we've all had our first shot.

can't wait until next week to see the guys again!

I got a surprise shawarma for lunch. I haven't had one in over a year.

It was a nice treat.

Its a little thing, but this was my first year of self employed, and nailing my income tax made me happy. and removed a lot of anxiety.

Nothing like riding a bike is it?
Had a friend over for some music the other night. It was rusty but still... felt good man.

I was already pretty stoked after seeing the dinosaurs at the calgary zoo. They are super cool. Seeing a Jurassic park jeep in the parking lot on my way out? Awesome.

I took my wife out for a picnic and hike at Horseshoe Canyon. She's never been there before, so I wanted her to see it, and figured it'd be a good trip.

She quite enjoyed it, and the hike showed us both that our exercise program is working, as we'd have been damn near dead doing the hike we did there today, if we'd done it this time last year.

Also, the Canyon was basically empty. Maybe a half-dozen other people there, and no one but us in the actual Canyon itself. Pretty good day!

Was it hot there today? Haven't been to Horseshoe in years, but it sure is cool.
