It's no different than Justin Williams thinking load management and a possible return late into the season. I'd bet both of them just want to enjoy life outside work for awhile, but once mid-winter hits, they'll discover their limited time love once again.

Big difference, Williams is an unsigned UFA who may sign or just retire...
While the other player has a massive contract, which I would bet forced the Jets to make hard roster decisions during the summer that led to other dman leaving the club

Ok. Elliott Friedman reported that he put his kids in school in Winnipeg.

Why? He's on leave from the team to contemplate whether or not he wants to continue playing a sport that demands a lot of his time and energy. And because of this, he's not allowed to eat outside?
He's literally considering whether or not he wants to play hockey or eat on patios twelve months a year.

LOL. Hitting a patio is now a bizarre way to behave? Internet fanboys are the best comic relief. You’ve got ZERO clue.

Huh?
The alternative would be enrolling his kids in a school where he intends to live once he’s retired if his intentions to stop playing hockey were not something he’s recently considering in the face of either playing hurt or rehabbing his injury.
It’s more indicative of his intentions, or state of mind, than selling a piece of property.

If he’s still deciding, why would he know where he’s going, or have any idea about which school to enroll his kids at? The kids can’t delay school like he is, so they start where they are. If they move they move.
