Glad to see Genie playing hard, long matches and winning. Need that fighting mentality.

I agree with Thiem in 5, but I'll take PCB in 4 sets. Thiem will win the final in straight sets.

Thiem may be the first and forever only player to win the elusive Autumnal Equinox Double of US Open and French Open championships within the same 30 day span.

Badosa (the one left hanging) is Genie's opponent on Saturday.

Hats off to Zverev, didn't think he had what it takes to come back but he's showing me wrong.

I was a little disappointed with Medvedev today, but can't take anything away from Thiem he played phenomenal today. He will be world #1 at some point in his career maybe even next year.

Genie into the Final, 6-3 6-2!
WTA ISTANBUL: Genie Bouchard d #92 Paula Badosa (ESP) 6-3, 6-2 to make her first final since 2016 Kuala Lumpur. GB outplayed PB from the get-go with aggressive hitting. In final faces either #88 Patricia Maria Tig (ROU) or #136 Tereza Martincova (CZE). Ranking up #272 to #163. @tomtebbutt

Tomorrow's final will be Genie's 7th match this week when you include all the qualifying matches. A win on Sunday might just be enough to convince French Open organizers to give Genie a wildcard into the tourney as troutman stated above.

This first set between Vika and Naomi looks a lot like the first set between Vika and Serena except the set score is flip-flopped.

This is turning into one of the most one sided finals of all time.
