Not a great price but if you 100% know you have to go there, there's a good chance it won't get any lower.

Cheap flights from Calgary to Phoenix are back - $276 roundtrip after taxes
http://www.yycdeals.com/cheap-flight...ip-after-taxes
Looks like once again Calgary is getting some very cheap flights to Phoenix. They are down to $276 roundtrip after taxes, this time on Delta.
The easiest way to see which dates are available is to use Google Flights Explorer. Click through from Google Flights to Delta for booking.
The flights have 1 stopover in each direction. Look for the ones that have short layovers in Salt Lake City in each direction. The ones that route you through Minneapolis are far from ideal!
There looks to be dates available from now all the way up until November 2013.

Calgary to Barcelona, Venice, Prague - $853 roundtrip after taxes
Thanks to the contest on KLM, the cities of Barcelona, Prague, and Venice are now on sale from Calgary for around $853 roundtrip after taxes. Other airlines have matched.
The available dates that have cheap prices vary by airline, but in general, the dates that look to have dropped are mostly concentrated between now and mid May, and dates between October 16 and December 10.

It's too bad they're not extending those prices over the summer, but understandable.

With the KLM deal I have narrowed it down between Venice and Barcelona.
I have been to Venice so I wouldnt be there much but just using it as a way to visit Croatia and Rome.
Has anyone been to Spain. How is travelling via Train in Spain compared to Italy. Italy is very easy but I dont know much about Spain.

AirCanada has some promo codes out today
LOVECANADA to get 14% of any flight within Canada. No real restrictions except book tonight for travel from Feb 28 to June 20.
LOVEUSA for flights to the States. Same date restrictions and it looks like it isn't every city in the US but quite a few.

UPDATE: Calgary to Prague can actually be had for as cheap as $745 roundtrip after taxes using a combination of KLM and Czech Airlines. Try searching on SkyScanner to find them. Here's an example:

Traveling within Spain is "fine". Traveling onto other destinations from Spain is brutal... maybe.
The big caveats being when are you going to be there? During peak times you can be looking at 2 hour wait times at the train station to book anything, and the inability to reserve any train connection that crosses a border. Huge PITA.
If it's not peak time, it should be no problem. It's a decent system.
I wish my first train trips in Europe weren't in Switzerland and Germany. I got completely unrealistic expectations from those experiences.

Cmyden, do you have any experience getting flights to Tahiti? I am thinking about a fall vacation there.

Its not the cost of the flight that deters me, its the Euro valuation
but with these prices its hard to pass on Spain in late October as its likely not a country I would visit again as its so far away from CZ, Italy, Germany, Swi etc.

Say what? Obviously you get first dibs, but add me to this list, too. Looking more and more likely that I'm going to Poland this summer.

What do you guys do on long flights to keep your iPads and stuff charged if you want to bring your own movies to watch? Do airlines now have USB ports to plug devices in for charging?

It depends on the aircraft/airliner you are taking. If you konw the airline and the plane model (ex. 777-200) you can pull up the seatmaps to find out if they have power at the seats.
Or you can try something like this, which gives you one full recharge.

It looks like China Eastern, and I'll be on an Airbus 340-300 and 340-600. Is it airline dependent on whether they have USB plug-ins or not? I looked at a few websites, but there was no mention of whether this airline's seats offered USB ports.
