Since coming back to the Farm Flames, McElhinney has had a GAA of 1.00 and a save% of .966 ... he has been a wall.

I'm actually quite surprised with the play of Tim Ramholt. He breaks out of the zone quite well, and seems to see the ice better than I expected him too.

Chucko on the other hand.........I'll refrain from being too negative.

I'm a little worried that our main source of offense seems to be coming from players that were not drafted by Calgary, and did not do so well in the first stint in the NHL. I'm hoping guys like Chucko, VanDerGulik, and Nystrom step up this period.

Kolanos looks awful out there. Very lazy and dumb in his own end.

in the offensive zone kolanos could be considered one of the best players in the league. In the defensive zone is is very lazy. i think that is the one thing that will keep the guy in the ahl.

Yep Kolanos wont get a sniff with Calgary...Chucko is horid, wtf the scouts saw in him is beyond me, and Maki is not showing anything either.
You can see where changes will happen next year very easily.

just been watching the 3rd, wow, this team plays great D. it was great hockey, end to end, pogge was playing well and keeping his team in it.

i dont know who it was, but they single-handedly kept 3 marlies behind thier own goal line for a good 30 seconds...very neat to see.

That's how he's played all season.

It was great to see Ramholt just standing there, watching the Marlies' forward skating in before he ripped a shot past McElhinney.

Default in my opinion

Ramholt and Pardy are way over hyped and stay out too long on their shifts. I think Hambley/Palin are a much better pairing and are much more reliable . The team needs to step it up heading into the late stages .

We were sitting behind the net that McE defended twice at this game...and this was not the same team that played in Rochester or Hamilton! They were horrid the first period!!

They woke up a little in the 2nd and were definitely better in the third, though McE was napping on that second goal. He didn't even move to stop it....I'm not sure he saw it til it was in the net. Toronto slowed down after the 1st...we should have gotten a point out of it.

I felt kinda bad for the players' families/friends who were there (and there were a lot all weekend....probably 50-60 of us in Toronto all together!) and had to watch them stink it up in the first. But then, they've probably seen that before a time or two....

A really great road trip all around!

As I said in my text to you, I think half the team started the All-Star break a day early.

Several flew out of Toronto on Sunday night. I think you're right....they didn't want OT so that they wouldn't miss their flights!!
