That…was something! But it needs a part two…I’m left with so many questions:
- what power does the magic bolt on a string possess?
- what entity is in the dead tree? Are these Kiprusofarian?
- why does it like upside down RCA CRT TVs with rune marks?
- will the tv grow?
- did dead tree spirits command them to become lovers?
- did they get in trouble for digging a hole in a city park?
- did they start a wild fire from the smokes?
Best line:
“Do you believe in luck?”
<Huff huff huff … thinks about it> “NO.” <back to digging>
Seriously, good effort to create something.

Woke up a bit early, decided to play with the paints. I think I managed to get some of his likeness (source photo included):

When The Muse hits, she sometimes brings stuff you can't easily explain.
I guess the natural question is "what IS that?". Well, I don't really know. I think it's some sort of prehistoric ground sloth. Inspiration came from a few sources; there's a solid dose of Jim Henson/Brian Froud in there.
The beast is made of polymer clay on wire and foil, on a base of styrofoam and a lot of craft moss. Typical stuff. The fuzzy stuff on its hide is actually cinnamon, so the workroom now smells like cookies. And it'll keep the ants away.
I've had that cloche in my basement for years, and it's just been waiting for an appropriate project to hold it.

Kinda reminds me of something from Love, Death and Robots or Elcor from Mass Effect but I'm not sure what type of blend of those ideas it reminds me of.
Quite cool

I checked out Surferguy's wood last season. It was plentiful, solid, and well conditioned.

Does anyone have recommendations for starting to learn to weld? I'm not very committed and just want to be able to connect Thing A to Thing B... Is Flux core a bad idea? Will I regret it forever if I try to use a machine powered by 120v as opposed to 240?
Looking to spend as little as possible while still being able to do something useful.
P.s : see you tonight, Surferguy!

I bought a 120 FCAW rig at PA a few months ago.
https://www.princessauto.com/en/mini...t/PA0008976052
My garage doesn't have 240 so I didn't have a choice.
Its worked well for the stuff I need to do.

First thing is like to do involves steel angle at 1/8 thick... and getting one attached to another.
Although...I now need to renovate my kitchen to match the classiness of my new Como original serving paddle. So I may not find the time to weld! Nice to meet you, surfer!
