I hope a nice little playoff run will generate some more interest in the team in QC, get some of the players well known, and draw some bigger crowds next season in which case a reduction in the number of games won't be necessary.

This was an AHL-wide discussion, not a proposal by the QC owners or anything. It was supposedly proposed by the NHL.

I think getting a 30th team in the AHL would help, so there isn't 1 team that has to be idle every Friday or Saturday night.

Well Rochester is currently a split affiliation between Buffalo & Florida. If Florida were to get their own AHL affiliation, that would help.
