Elias Lindholm: over/under 55 points
Welcome to one of the newest members of the Flames!
Lindholm (Lindy?/Holmy?/Lindzo?) looks set to play on the top line with Gaudreau and Monahan this upcoming season, and no disrespect to Carolina, but these two guys are like nobody he's ever played with before.
That being said, what are you expecting for offensive production out of Lindzo?
I'll set the over/under at 55.5 points and let the debate go from there.
His best year historically was a 51 point pace, and he's coming off a year where he scored 44 points in 81 games.
Bonus question: over under 19.5 goals? His last 4 seasons have seen him score an average of 14 per 82 games, but he hs scored 17 before.

I am going to say 60 points. 20 goals and 40 assists.

Over on both...and he might have been there anyway before the trade. The new situation only helps in my opinion.

Going to go with under for goals, definitely. From what Canes fans have been saying he’s got a Bouwmeester-quality muffin so keeping those expectations in check.
The part I’m really interested in is if he can push Monahan past 40 goals and allow Johnny the opportunity to shoot more. If that line gets chemistry I could see something like 15 goals, 60 points as his ceiling.
At the very least it makes other teams worry more about that line as a whole than when they could just cheat on covering Ferland to put more pressure on Johnny and then the whole line falls apart.

If Ferland can score 21/40 on the top line Elias will do at least 25/60

It will depend on what line he plays on most of the year. If he fits with Monahan and Gaudreau I would like to think the over, but if he spends most of the season on any other line than the 1st line then under for sure.

Greatly depends on utilization. If he's the 1RW for the majority of the season, 55 to 60 points. 2C, 45 to 55 would be a great season. New team and teammates in the 1st season can take a while to adapt as well. And the all important chemistry. No one ever knows how that will turn out. He could turn Brouwer into a 30 goal sniper.

I think he ends up around 20 goals but if he is the playmaker that people are suggesting I'd expect a healthy Monahan to score 40 and Lindholm is probably in on 30 of them. He's gonna be over 55 points.

Depends where he plays. If he plays on the top line, I'll take the over on points.
But I would rather see him used to help upgrade the middle 6. I think he would be fantastic with Backlund, which would allow us to move Tkachuk to the other line.
I would like to see another player brought in - someone specifically for the top line. There is plenty of cap space yet, and adding another player would really round out the top 9.
I don't really care how many points Lindholm gets, I care how good the team is.

Under. I think he hits about 45 points regardless of where he plays

The Flames have been looking for a top line player to play with these guys since Hudler and his 76 point year which he wasn’t able to replicate the following season. The thing with Hudler was that was his last big year and the defining moment of his career; the very peak. Lindholm to me could potentially surpass that season displayed by Hudler with Monahan and Gaudreau being markedly better players since that magical year with Hudler and Lindholm being a 41 point average consistently before ever getting near his peaks seasons really shows the potential for him to break out.
If all three stay healthy I can see the following happening:
Gaudreau flirts with 100 points
Monahan is a 40/30 guy
Lindholm puts up career highs 20+ G 40+ A 60+ P
Not even being a homer about this I truly feel Treliving got two players who showed consistency throughout a tough situation in Carolina and are poised to break out.

I think he is used on the top line all year and I think we see Gaudreau shoot more. I see 65-70 points for Lindholm and two 40 goal scorers in Gaudreau and Monahan

I'll say under because past performance is the best predictor of future performance.
Plus any minor injury hurts the guys chances at posting a career year.
I think its certainly possible he does hit career highs though.

Barring injury and if Lindholm gets PP time I think 23-28 goals and 35-40 assists.
So over it is.

Hopefully Treliving finds a more offensive threat for top line minutes.
Either way, definitely under. This guy is Backlund #2. Great to have but not my first line RW.

I said it in the trade thread - Gaudreau and Monahan had half a season with 31 year old Jiri Hudler and they were the best line in hockey.
I will take 24-29 year old Lindholm over 31-32 Hudler. And I will also continue to predict Lindholm outscores every free agent RW this season.
65 points.
