Default Thank you and best wishes Micheal Ferland

A guy we saw go from a 5th round pick to a wrecking ball against the Caunucks in 2015, to a 20 goal scorer last season. Not to mention his growth off the ice. Good luck Ferly, the best is yet to come:

yup best of luck to Ferkland!!

was one of players i really rooted for on the Flames as a result of the challenges he fought through to get to this level.

hope that he is able to continue on that journey both on and off the ice.

Still waiting for AC's 2017-18 video. Gonna miss him. Hope we sign him in 2019 after we buy Brouwer out.

Best of luck to him. Great guy. Will always remember him completely demolishing Vancouver.

I ran into him in the waiting room of a acupuncture clinic a year or two ago, and he seemed like a really nice guy. I'm happy that he was able to make something if himself here.
I never really saw him as a legitimate top 6 guy, but I'm sad to see him go.

Overcoming his off ice demons was an incredible accomplishment. He went from ECHL player unlikely to get a qualifying offer to a top line NHLer.

Mad props.

So glad Ferland is going out east, would have been a nightmare if he stayed in the west against us.

Criminally underrated by many on this board, hoping beyond hope that we can bring him back as a UFA.

Love that guy. He will be missed.

His performance against the 'Nucks in that series was one of the most enjoyable things I've ever watched as a Flames fan. Just pure joy every time he threw a hit or destroyed Bieksa.

I wish him nothing but the best for his new start in Carolina.

I will always appreciate what he did to Bieksa that playoff round. It was amazing.

Im a big fan but also understand why he is now a Hurricane and am fine with it.

Hope he truly blossoms even more in Raleigh and hits a major payday because of it.

Been a Ferland fan since before the Vancouver series. I think he'll be able to carve out a Prust or Simon like career, and last year won't be only year for him to hit 20 goals.

Wow, still can't believe Tre traded away his own vision of truculence with speed and ability to score. It's a shame that Tre will keep his little pet project alive to try and prove that the highest pick the Flames had will even pan out.

Anyway, wish Ferland best of luck out east - stay fast and truculent!

Gonna miss ya big fella. Loved your face punching, body wrecking and evil glares.

What I’ll miss the most is your effort. You cleaned up and got sober. Not an easy task but you did it.

For that you get all of my respect. Now you have the rest of your life ahead with a growing family and a new start.

Good job and thanks for all of your hard work. I have a feeling you’ll pay it forward because you had a great great teacher in big Ern.

What Truculence though? In the end, he wasn't all that Truculent, he didn't score that often, and after Christmas the thing that should have kept him in the discussion which was effort, wasn't there at all.

I love his story, and I'm glad that his life turned around due to his hard work and willingness to ask for help, but what we saw was what we were going to get with him.

If he was that disengaged because he wasn't happy here then good luck with your change or scenery, I hope it works out.
