Tweet tags not rendering on Tapatalk app
Anyone else seeing this?
I'm on Android if that matters.

Yup. Mine has been like this for a couple of days. Android as well. Though some Twitter posts seem to work but most don't.

Is this not affecting anyone else? I thought it might have been a problem that only lasted a few days but still nothing. Is it a tapatalk problem, a me problem or this site?

Ya it's been like that for several days, last time I had this, I messaged Tapatalk and they fixed it pretty fast. Haven't had the chance to submit a support ticket yet.

Not working for me as well. This happened in the past but resolved itself after some time without me doing anything about it.

I also contacted tapatalk through the app and they got back to me asking for an example so I copied a link from here and sent it to them.

Somebody contacted me the next day.

Contacted them and they got back to me saying they're aware of the problem and are investigating. No fix yet I guess.

Okay, I was pretty sure that it worked in the past, but I wasn't certain.
Also on Android Tapatalk. I can't view the tweet, the link doesn't work. I didn't realize how many tweets are being included in people's posts until the YYC and Twitter threads.

Same on IOS Tapatalk as well. Have to go to webview to see the content. Also was acting up in other ways, like when tweets did appear, you couldn’t click on them to start videos or look at more details.

Not surprised it's kinda wonky how it renders. Basically according to Twitter's docs I have to add some javascript for each embedded tweet that after the whole page renders and the javascript executes it reaches out to the Twitter API and gets the HTML to show the tweet and then updates the page to show the tweet.
I wanted to do it server side so it got the tweet code before rendering the page but that wasn't allowed according to their docs.. or it was but I wasn't allowed to do multiple requests for the same tweet in a short amount of time. Which meant I would have had to come up with a caching system to remember the code for a tweet for a while.. and I'm not a PHP developer.
I imagine that kind of thing makes it annoying for Tapatalk, I'm not sure if their app renders all the javascript or what.

Nothing back on the ticket, I sent a reminder email. It's been a week which is weird, this dude usually gets it fixed or gets back to me shortly after contact.
