Comic-Con 2018 Badges

Today was the returning registration for badges to Comic-Con 2018, the real one in San Diego.

They're long gone now but it looks like they are auctioning off pairs of badges for charity. Looks like market price of previous auctions have gone for $6,000 - $7,000 US if anybody was interested and had money to burn.

IF you can get them, they are $276 US normally - an indication of how crazy in demand they are.

They'll have open registration in a few months though but they disappear like crazy as always.

I went in 2017 but wasn't able to get tickets today, will try again in open registration like last year. It was honestly so much fun really hope to get tickets again

You could probably spend 48 hours on the con floor at SDCC and never even see a comic book.

They do have some places to buy comics there, but they are very few. Not to mention it's hard to keep them in good shape because you have so much other stuff that it's not worth it to even buy them. Honestly I enjoyed the floor of Calgary just as much as San Diego. Not as much cool stuff for sure but it's way less crowded and the people are so much friendly in Calgary. Its all the off-site activities and panels that really separate San Diego from the other Cons IMO. Lines are super crazy for everything. The line for the VR Blade Runner experience was about 3 hours and your waiting outside in the hot sun it's crazy. The non-VR line was about 30 minutes which was manageable. This was everything I got one day on the floor and 75% was just given to me for free

December 9th is open registration so everyone has a chance of getting tickets. Is anyone else going to be attempting tickets? If so PM me and we can set up a group to increase our odds of going.
