Not official but hearing the trade is Coyle to BOS in exchange for Ryan Donato and a fifth-round pick. Details to come.

Probably takes Boston out of their 'All in on Stone' play.

I like this deal for the Bruins
Interesting the Wild as a bubble team are giving up guys that can play in their top 6 for Donato.

Is Minnesota tanking for Lafrieniere?

Ryan Donato and a 5th. Hummmm. I like Coyle. I think Boston got a good player, but I think Minnesota definitely got a good young guy with control. I like this deal for Minnesota. Good for Boston if they can get Boston born Coyle to sign another deal after this tho. A bit of a value swing by Boston, but a smart trade with the injury to Pastrnak

Donato has a ton of potential. He looked amazing in his stint with the Bruins a few years back but has been finding his way since then.
Coyle to me is a bit overrated, and I think I’d have trouble trying to decide whether he’s a 2nd line player or a strong 3rd liner. He had a really good year a few years back, but I always find you never know what you’re going to get with him whenever I watch the Wild. He is still young as well however.
Could be a decent trade for both teams.

Donato has been playing in the AHL for about a month. He had a great little stint last year (9 points in 12 games), but hasn't been as near as productive this year (9 points 34 games).

I like this for the Bruins more.
current NHLers > Prospects and Coyle has played top 6 mins for the Wild in the past... nice change of scenery for local kid. prolly will thrive.
